However, his immortality had made him arrogant, and frequently, he fights without regard to strategy, except to acquire blood from his opponent. Although ridiculed for his foolishness by Kakuzu and Shikamaru alike, and evidently inferior in tactical genius by either of them, he was able to analyze the nature and limits of Shikamaru's technique, and conducted the battle accordingly ( although he maintained his arrogant attitude, even under these circumstances). Curiously, he seemed to panic as Shikamaru took control of his body, yelling at Kakuzu to do something in a rather frantic voice.

Appearance

Hidan has medium-long silver hair combed back , and purple eyes. He wears his Akatsuki cloak, no shirt, only trim pants, which reveal, and the Yugakure shield around his neck along with his amulet, Jashin. He wears dark green painted nails and his Akatsuki ring on his left index finger, which bears the kanji for three (三, san). He is always seen with his triple-edged scythe on his back. His left ear has a small cut made by Asuma and some stitching on his neck made by Kakuzu after he was briefly decapitated. Additionally, after his battle against Asuma's unit, his Akatsuki robe is torn. When Hidan uses his "Ritual" he takes on the appearance of a Shinigami, with black skin, and white marks in the shape of bones.
