Off-season midcourt recruit Fa’amu Ioane makes the move south to the Pulse in 2023 from her home city of Auckland and the Mystics. In search of more court time, the athletic, dogged and fleet-footed Ioane will add another dynamic to a lively Pulse midcourt. Having started her elite level career in 2016, the energetic midcourter has plenty of experience under belt where in recent times consistency and variety have added to her growing resume. Predominantly a nuggety, stubborn and effective wing defence, Ioane is also looking to build on her game at centre. She has continued to refine her play through extra fitness and a reduced penalty count while fulfilling her early promise after being part of the richly talented NZU21 team who went on to claim the World Youth Cup in Botswana in 2017.
