Jaguar D. Saul is a giant and former Vice Admiral who deserted the Marines and happened to wash ashore on Ohara. He was originally believed to have died while protecting a young Nico Robin from the Buster Call that destroyed Ohara, having been frozen by fellow Vice Admiral Kuzan 22 years ago. In reality, he survived, albeit covered in bandages, and went into hiding after collecting the books the scholars had saved from destruction and bringing them to Elbaf.

Buster Call

The Buster Call is the ultimate form of military attack used by the Marines. It is a result of the Marine doctrine of Absolute Justice. It consists of a fleet of ten battleships and is lead by five Vice Admirals. Aokiji claims that the strength of a Buster Call is equal to that of an entire nation's military. Ohara was attacked because its scholars were able to read the Poneglyphs and decipher information about the Void Century.

Akuma no Mi: Hana Hana no Mi

The Hana Hana no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to replicate and sprout pieces of their body from the surface of any object or living thing. "Hana" is the Japanese word for "Blooming" and "Flower", and reflects the nature of the user's power to sprout their body parts like a blooming flower. As a further allusion to this, the particles of pinkish-white petals appear and then form in rotation, from where the parts germinate and disappear, as well as around the user himself.
