Persona Attributes

Appearance

Akane is a teenage girl who sports purple hair with blue highlights. Before her controversy, she didn't stand out to LoveNow viewers, giving the impression that neither her personality nor her looks were remarkable. However, after getting over the controversy, she began to sport an appearance similar to Ai Hoshino, right down to her facial expressions and eyes, including Ai's iconic star in her eyes. She has grown her hair out to symbolize her new style and not let the past drag her down. Many people consider her to be very beautiful, such as Ruby Hoshino, Abiko Samejima, Yoriko Kichijouji, and Kana Arima.

Personality Part 1

Akane is a shy and reserved girl, who often has trouble expressing her true feelings. However, when she stands in front of a camera or a stage, she transforms into a brilliant and charismatic actress, capable of playing any role with ease and conviction. Her greatest dream is to be recognized and loved for her work, and that is why she puts her all into each project. Her personality changes depending on the character she plays, and sometimes she blurs the line between reality and fiction. Akane adopts Ai's personality to attract Aqua, but she also feels a deep admiration and respect for her. Akane is very cunning and perceptive. After receiving small details about Aqua's past, she was able to piece together all the details and deduce her relationship with her late mother. She also sympathized with Aqua's pain and loneliness. When Aqua confided in her that she had entered theater and acting to get close to and kill someone in the industry, Akane did not criticize or convince him. She even said that she would help Aqua kill that person. She believed that Aqua must have had a strong motive for doing that and that she would accept Aqua for who he was, even if he was a "very bad boy." When Akane and Aqua started dating officially, Akane became a lot more open. She asked Aqua to pamper her after a busy day and thanked him for all the small actions he did to show his feelings. For example, Aqua would wait for her outside her workplace, reply to her texts as soon as possible, and praise her for her hard work. They would also show public affection more quickly. All of these small actions made Akane feel grateful and satisfied. They helped her get rid of all her worries and become a more open and confident person. Besides her cuter aspects, Akane also possesses a dangerous and obsessive psychopathic side...

Personality Part 2

This is shown when she deduces the identity of the Hoshino twins' father and tries to take matters into her own hands, investigating on her own, even finding herself going so far as to make an attempt on Hikaru Kamiki's life by hiding a knife in a bouquet of white roses in a similar fashion to Ai's murder. These actions stemmed from a desire to "save" Aqua by preventing contact between him and his father so that he wouldn't have to worry about her revenge plot again. She also seemed to be more hurt by the fact that Aqua planted a tracking device without telling her, rather than the fact that he invaded her privacy by planting one on her, stating that she would have given him hundreds of them and even followed him to Hell if he had just asked. Overall, Akane is a complex and fascinating character. She is a sweet and innocent girl, but she is also capable of great violence and darkness. She is a person who is constantly struggling between her desires and her fears, and she is a person who is always searching for her place in the world.

Dating Show Arc Part 1

On the recommendation of her agent, Akane decided to participate in a reality show to boost her career and gain more experience and recognition in the entertainment world. Akane accepted the challenge, but it was not easy for her to adapt to the format of the show, since this reality show did not have a script. During the first days of filming, she felt lost and distrustful about the role she had to play. Seeking guidance, she went to the director of the show, who advised her to be more open and natural with her co-stars in front of the cameras, as this would captivate the audience. Yuki Sumi was the most popular girl on the reality show. She was beautiful, charismatic, and had a great personality. She soon became a favorite of the public and the press. However, everything changed when she announced that she was leaving the show due to the stress it was causing her. This news caused quite a stir, and many wondered what had happened. Akane, on the other hand, barely appeared on the show. She was shy and introverted, and did not get along with the other participants. She was also very cautious and reserved in interviews, and gave few details about her life and personality. This made her seem uninteresting and boring. One day, returning from the gym, Akane's agent was severely reprimanded for the lack of prominence that his client had in the reality show. The show was a ratings success and Akane was barely on screen for ten minutes, without contributing anything interesting. She went unnoticed. Akane, upon learning of the situation, became very sad. Her manager tried to console her by telling her that she was doing well, that she was giving her best. But that was not enough for Akane, who felt very depressed by the situation. In tears, she reviewed all the notes she had on recommendations to highlight that she had obtained from the staff of the program, looking for something that would help her prove her worth as an actress...

Dating Show Arc Part 2

Following a recommendation from the show's director to stand out, Akane set out to interfere in Nobu and Yuki Sumi's relationship. Akane was very active and determined in this new role, but it was not easy for her, as Yuki Sumi was not willing to give up the spotlight. Akane insisted on her role as a busybody so much that she became annoying. However, her efforts were unsuccessful and she ended up falling into a situation of frustration due to the high expectations she had accumulated over time. In a moment of desperation, she rushed forward and scratched Yuki's face. Yuki knew that Akane was nervous and instantly hugged her, telling her that it was nothing, that it had been an accident. But the audience did not see it that way, and Akane became the target of criticism. After reading all the comments, Akane reached her limit and tried to jump off a bridge. Aqua was able to stop the suicide attempt at the final moment, hugging Akane gently and promising her that everything was going to be okay. After calming down, her coworkers were informed and took her to see them. Yuki ran over and slapped her with tears in her eyes, asking her why she did something so reckless. Akane then realized how much they cared about her as she broke down crying with Yuki. After the incident, all of her classmates joined together to upload a video to the show's social media with different unpublished scenes showing the two involved in the problem being friends to avoid more hatred towards Akane and the Show. Aqua was in charge of the operation. The plan finally worked when public opinion began to favor Akane...

Dating Show Arc Part 3

Knowing how Aqua saved her life and reputation, she felt grateful to him. In the final episode of the reality show, Aqua kissed her because she believed it was a useful tool to achieve revenge. Fans immediately expressed their support for the new 'couple' as they often 'hung out' as a pretext after the episode, taking photos to appease their fans.
