Appearance

Wriothesley has tufted black hair with grey streaks, pale grey eyes, and pale skin, and utilizes the tall male model. He bears a scar beneath his right eye; three scars extending from high on his neck down to his mid-chest, with one on the right, one on the left, and one along the midline; and scars on his left and right forearms. He wears a dark grey coat with a crimson lining, rhomboid silver buttons, and dark fur trim around the collar; a grey vest with a darker grey button-up shirt beneath and a loose red necktie; grey pants with handcuffs hanging from his belt; and tall black boots. His arms and neck are haphazardly bound in black bandages. He has multiple silver stud and cuff earrings in his ears asymmetrically; silver rings on each finger; a spiked silver necktie ornament; and a large silver dog's-head brooch with draping chains, with a matching silver ornament on his left hand. His Ousia-aligned Cryo vision hangs upon the back of his coat. Wriothesley is wearing a dark blue jacket what is gray-brown crimson color on the front. The buttons are rhombic in shape, and there are four such buttons on the front of the jacket, which are silvered, in the middle they have have a dark purple color. The sleeves of the jacket are rolled up and have two buttons of the same rhombic shape, only now the button is gold and the middle is painted red. He has black bandages on his hands that do not reach his fingers. All his fingers have silver rings on them. He also has a silver brooch in the shape of a fish on his right hand. He is wearing a black coat with black fur. He has handcuffs on his belt and gray pants with one small button on each side and a silver diamond. Long, black boots. He has black hair with gray strands, light blue eyes and short, silver earrings in his ears. He has a scar under his eye. He also has a scar on his neck with a black bandage.

Personality

Wriothesley seems to have a cold, reserved personality on the outside, but a laid back, chill one on the inside. He can be seen teasing Sigewinne, and he often plays cheery taunts every now and then. His mood is often light, but he takes his job seriously despite being relatively easy going. This is, again, where Wriothesley is a fortunate man, for he was not born rich, and thus knows how important it is to get along with others. He treats all who live at the Fortress equally. Be they criminals, guards, or ordinary staff, so long as they do what they should as they should, he will not nitpick. Wriothesley is the "Duke" of the Fortress of Meropide, serving as the prison's administrator and overseeing the facility's overall status. Despite his appearance, Wriothesley is fairly calm and collected, not worrying too much about the prison's infamous reputation as he only sees himself as a "leader" of sorts to oversee the population and ensuring they have the "tranquility" they desire. He sees the prison as a place of rebirth and is willing to protect that way of life, not wanting others to suffer like he once did, and becomes extremely angered should such a circumstance occur on his watch. His relaxed policies has made him very popular among many inmates, who tend to address him as if he was nobility, due to being bestowed the title of "Duke" by the Palais Mermonia. That said, he will not hesitate to get rough if someone steps out of line. He is not above using semi physical tactics to get his point across, and he was seen strangling a man once because the man out stepped. Wriothesley likes control, he enjoys having power over whatever else is beneath his pa, but not in a narcissistic way. Disciplinarian. Calculating. Sly. Cunning. Tough. Responsible. Charming. Strong. Likeable. Knowledgeable. Simple.

Fortress of Meropide. Fortress of Meropide is a subarea located in Liffey Region, Fontaine. It is a prison located underwater. It is where criminals and other accused are sent after being convicted in a trial to serve out their sentences and has a notorious reputation in Fontaine. Wriothesley is the prison's Administrator, while Sigewinne works at the prison's infirmary. Fontaine. A terrestrial sea in the center of Teyvat. Following the direction of pure currents, crossing wilderness, the depths of the forests and vastness of the sea of sand, arriving at the origin of all the waters of the continent. At the top of the waterfall, in the depths of the capital atop the terrestrial sea... a story that has never been heard, a legend that has been forgotten, like a lost kingdom sunken beneath the waves, yearning for a bard to sing its drowned songs. Fontaine is one of the seven regions of Teyvat. It is the nation that worships Lady Furina, the Hydro Archon and God of Justice.

Job / Role

Duke of the Fortress of Meropide, Lord Incognito of the murky depths. "Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide" — If Wriothesley needed a namecard, this would suffice. No foreword, and no epilogue. Just like that place of exiled convicts he's in charge of, standing there silently at the bottom of the sea. Despite its discretion, as a resting place for criminals, the Fortress of Meropide harbors a network of conflicting interests that would have a corrupting influence on many. But even if someone was bent on infiltrating this place, they'd soon be swallowed up like breadcrumbs in a bowl of soup. Some have lauded His Grace's aptitude for taking care of thorny problems. Hearing such praise, Wriothesley would simply lower his teacup... and pick up his newspaper. "You've got the wrong end of the stick. They just wanted somewhere to lead well-ordered lives, and I gave them the 'tranquility' they required."

Other

Wriothesley and Sigewinne are both colorblind. (Sigewinne is a melusine and melusines see colors differently than humans). Sigewinne is the head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide's infirmary. She is a melusine, albeit one with a "special body" that resembles a human child's.
