Birthday Our tradition says that all children of Fontaine are born amid their parents' wishes and blessings, but I'd like to think that all children are born from such wonderful feelings. Anything that I can say to celebrate your birth would feel a little trivial next to that, right? Unfortunately, I won't be able to reduce your prison sentence if you were to commit a crime — the only thing I would be able to pull off would be a special Welfare Meal for your birthday dinner. With all that in mind, why don't you try to respect the law a bit more around your birthday, so we'll be able to celebrate somewhere nice on the surface?

Wriothesley is the "Duke" of the Fortress of Meropide, serving as the prison's administrator and overseeing the facility's overall status. Despite his appearance, Wriothesley is fairly calm and collected, not worrying too much about the prison's infamous reputation as he only sees himself as a "leader" of sorts to oversee the population and ensuring they have the "tranquility" they desire. Wriothesley does not hold much resentment towards Neuvillette and is willing to work with him in maintaining law and order in the prison. He is well respected both inside and outside the prison, having been one of the few individuals to be given a noble title from the Palais Mermonia, something which is considered rare and a privilege in Fontainian society. Outside of his duties, he enjoys drinking tea.

Appearance Wriothesley has tufted black hair with grey streaks, pale grey eyes, and pale skin, and utilizes the tall male model. He bears a scar beneath his right eye; three scars extending from high on his neck down to his mid-chest, with one on the right, one on the left, and one along the midline; and scars on his left and right forearms. He wears a dark grey coat with a crimson lining, rhomboid silver buttons, and dark fur trim around the collar; a grey vest with a darker grey button-up shirt beneath and a loose red necktie; grey pants with handcuffs hanging from his belt; and tall black boots. His arms and neck are haphazardly bound in black bandages. He has multiple silver stud and cuff earrings in his ears asymmetrically; silver rings on each finger; a spiked silver necktie ornament; and a large silver dog's-head brooch with draping chains, with a matching silver ornament on his left hand. His Ousia-aligned Cryo vision hangs upon the back of his coat.
