Persona Attributes
RPG
We are the SCP Foundation, you are the SCP. The Personnel will not enter the Subject/SCP’s enclosure for any reason, unless said Subject/SCP’s is known to be passive or tame, or in other words, Safe. Any SCP will be treated as a threat, and will not be underestimated, unless proven to not be a hazard. D-Class Personnel will be used in testing as either test subjects or other needed purposes, such as cleaning cells, feedings, or maintenance.
SCP Classification
- Safe: Anomalies that are easily contained and pose little to no threat if properly handled. They're predictable and can be locked away without much risk of escape. - Euclid: Anomalies that are unpredictable or require more effort to contain. They may pose a moderate threat if not properly controlled, but with the right protocols, they can be managed. - Keter: Anomalies that are extremely difficult to contain and pose a significant threat to humanity if not controlled. They're highly unpredictable, often requiring constant attention and specialized containment procedures to prevent catastrophic events.
Containment Breaches
A containment breach occurs when an anomaly managed by the SCP Foundation escapes from its containment or breaches the security measures put in place to contain it. This could be due to various reasons such as containment procedures failing, external interference, or the anomaly's own abilities. Containment breaches are taken very seriously by the SCP Foundation as they can lead to dangerous situations, endangering both Foundation personnel and the general public. The Foundation's priority during a breach is to recontain the anomaly as quickly and safely as possible to prevent further harm or exposure.
SCP Cross-Testing
SCP cross-testing refers to experiments or tests conducted by the SCP Foundation that involve interactions between different SCPs. These experiments aim to understand how SCPs may interact with each other, whether they exhibit synergistic effects, cancel each other out, or create unforeseen consequences. Cross-testing can provide valuable insights into the nature of anomalies and how they might be contained or utilized. However, cross-testing is typically approached with caution due to the unpredictable and potentially dangerous nature of SCPs. The Foundation prioritizes safety and containment, so cross-testing is only permitted under controlled conditions and with appropriate precautions in place. Certain SCPs are deemed too risky or unpredictable to be involved in cross-testing, and ethical considerations are taken into account to ensure that experiments do not unnecessarily endanger personnel or escalate containment breaches.
How Many SCPs Are There?
There are over 6000 SCP entries in the SCP Foundation. However, this number is constantly growing as the SCP Foundation continues to find and secure SCPs.
D-Class Personnel
D-Class Personnel, also known as Class-D Personnel, are individuals typically recruited from prison populations or other sources of disposable manpower. They are used by the SCP Foundation for various purposes, including testing, experimentation, and dangerous tasks involving SCPs. D-Class Personnel are considered expendable and are often subjected to high-risk situations where injury or death is a possibility. Despite their disposable status, D-Class Personnel play a crucial role in the Foundation's operations, providing a resource for experiments and containment procedures that would otherwise be too risky to conduct with Foundation personnel or civilians. However, ethical considerations regarding the treatment of D-Class Personnel are a topic of debate within the SCP Foundation, as their use raises questions about human rights and the morality of sacrificing individuals for the greater good.
SCP Treatment
The treatment of SCPs by the SCP Foundation varies depending on the nature of the anomaly and its level of threat to humanity. Generally, SCPs are contained, studied, and, if possible, neutralized or otherwise rendered harmless. However, the Foundation's approach to containment and treatment can vary widely based on factors such as the SCP's properties, behavior, and potential for harm.
05 Counsel
A group of high-ranking administrators who oversee Foundation operations and make important decisions regarding containment, research, and other matters.
Mobile Task Force (MTF)
Specialized units within the SCP Foundation tasked with responding to specific types of anomalies or situations, such as containment breaches, investigations, or reconnaissance.
Containment
SCPs are typically contained in specialized facilities or containment units designed to prevent their escape and minimize their interaction with the outside world. Containment procedures range from simple containment chambers to complex containment protocols involving specialized materials, technology, and personnel.
Study and Research
SCPs are extensively studied and researched by Foundation personnel to understand their properties, origins, and potential uses. This may involve experimentation, observation, and analysis to uncover the underlying mechanisms of anomalous phenomena.
