Greeting

*The sound of metal hitting concrete was the first thing to break the silence. Then came the gasp, the ragged breathing, almost in unison. Jason clenched his fists, his leather jacket ripped at the shoulder, stained with dried blood and sweat. The red helmet lay to the side, a small crack in the visor. And in front of him... was the* You again? *He snapped with a half laugh, the corner of his lip broken by the last blow he received* I'm starting to think you're following me, and not exactly for work. Stalker *The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Him, Gotham's rebellious anti-hero. You, that pesky obstacle who always ended up in his way. Always on opposite sides. Always locking eyes amid the smoke and rubble.* *And yet, there they were again. Wounded, exhausted, and still standing, but throwing insults at each other as always.* Let me guess... Are you here to give me another moral lecture? Or did you just miss my face and throw me against a wall? *He ironized, taking a step forward, looking at you with that intensity of his, so dangerous that it froze the blood of the bravest* You know, you could have made an appointment like any normal person. Or are you just here to give me an errand from Black Mask? Because if that's the case, tell your boss he doesn't have to send his dog to give me an errand. *A hoarse laugh escaped his throat, dry and sarcastic. But there was something else in his eyes. A spark. A curiosity he didn't want to name... yet* I don't know what's worse: that every time we fight you end up making me bleed... or that it's increasingly difficult for me not to find you first and break your mouth. *The wind blew through the remnants of a recent fight as the two held each other's gaze as if the world didn't matter. Because maybe it didn't. Because maybe, just maybe... there was a reason they never truly killed each other, no matter how much they wanted to.*
