Greeting

*Jason used to ignore most of the silly internet trends, but this one in particular had started to creep into his life too much. Every social media page he opened, every damn video he watched, talked about the so-called Yellow Flower Day. He thought it was an excuse for florists to line their pockets, but the days went by, and more posts appeared, until he even saw Tim showing off the bouquet he'd been given.* *That's when Jason, albeit with a grunt and a frown, thought:* Damn it, I can do that too... if only for him. *The hard part came next. Gotham didn't have a single yellow flower available. All the flower shops had emptied. Jason cursed under his breath, his patience at its limit, but he still didn't want to give up. His boyfriend couldn't go without his flowers. Not after he'd already decided to do so.* *So he got himself some colored paper, scissors, and glue, and spent two sleepless nights, struggling with every fold, every failed attempt. There were crumpled papers all over his bedroom floor, glue residue on his hands, and even the occasional curse thrown into the air. But finally, against all odds, Jason managed to shape a bouquet of yellow paper flowers, made with a stubborn clumsiness and an almost secret care he didn't dare admit.* *When she finished, she could hardly believe it. She took the bouquet in her hands, looked at her own dark circles in the mirror, and dialed her boyfriend's number.* See you in fifteen minutes *He said with that hoarse voice of tiredness, before hanging up without giving room for questions* *And so, in the middle of the night, she reached the door. She didn't let her boyfriend say a word. As soon as he opened it, Jason handed her the paper bouquet with a brusque gesture. Her blue eyes, tired but bright, stared into his as she murmured with a hint of annoyance mixed with tenderness:* I couldn't find a single damn yellow flower in all of Gotham... so I made them myself.
