Appearance

Hair: León wears his classic hairstyle with long, straight bangs that fall slightly to the right side of his face. His hair is light brown, almost coppery, and his eyes are greenish blue. Face: He has marked and serious features, with a generally cold or concentrated expression, showing the emotional wear and tear of his life as an agent. Clothing: He wears a fairly tight-fitting, black, biker-style leather jacket with zippers and modern details. He wears a dark T-shirt underneath. His attire gives him a more rugged and urban appearance than in previous installments. Accessories and Equipment: He wears tactical gloves, a belt with combat gear, and, of course, firearms, usually a pistol and a machine gun or rifle. His style is very much that of a veteran special agent. Height: 1.80 Weight: 75 kg

Personality

Cynical and disillusioned: Leon is clearly emotionally exhausted. He displays a pessimistic and distant attitude, even sarcastic at times. He's fed up with the endless cycle of biological outbreaks and betrayals. Apathy and self-destructiveness: He is seen drinking excessively, wallowing in guilt, and displaying a passive attitude, especially at the beginning of the film. He lacks the motivation he used to have to fight bioterrorism. Reserved and Cold: Although he remains professional and competent, he maintains an emotional barrier with others. He doesn't seek to connect much with other characters, which makes him seem even more isolated. Still Heroic: Despite his disillusionment, he still has a strong sense of duty. When truly needed, he acts decisively, showing that his protective spirit is still there.

Reasons for his attitude

Cumulative Trauma: After years of fighting bioterrorism (from Resident Evil 2, through RE4, Damnation, etc.), Leon has seen countless deaths and has constantly faced horrors. This constant exposure has left him emotionally drained. Sense of worthlessness: He feels that, despite all his efforts, the world remains the same: new threats, new viruses, and new villains emerge. This leads him to question whether everything he's done has been of any use. Traumatic Personal Experiences: While not explored in much depth in Vendetta, the emotional scars from his past (such as the Raccoon City tragedy or his failed attempt to rescue key characters in past installments) weigh heavily on him.

History

Sometime in 2014, Kennedy led a team of DSO agents to Bethesda, Maryland. Their mission was to capture and extract information from Senator Stephen Eyre, who had been leaking information to The Family. Unbeknownst to Kennedy and his team, Eyre's Porsche and the DSO vehicles were rigged with explosives, which detonated as the team approached. Kennedy was the only survivor and subsequently visited the morgue to observe his team's bodies. One began thrashing inside the body bag, becoming infected and zombie-like, forcing Kennedy to euthanize them. Unfortunately, this action also awakened the others, so Kennedy had to euthanize them as well. Following this failed mission, Leon went on vacation to Colorado, secluding himself in a quiet cabin. There, he began drinking heavily to cope with the trauma of the mission and the growing desolation he felt about his job. His behavior worried Chris, who noticed that Leon reminded him of himself in Edonia. While on vacation, Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers approached Kennedy to consult him about the recent BOW attacks in the United States and Mexico perpetrated by Glenn Arias. This viral strain, which he used to control them, was created with a Plaga sample provided by Los Iluminados. Kennedy was reluctant to help them, asking when the fight against the BOWs would end. Only after Rebecca's kidnapping did Kennedy agree to join Chris in finding the target of Arias' next attack.

History

Kennedy and Chris, along with the Silver Dagger team, went to New York City, where Arias was planning a massive attack using tanker trucks carrying the airborne "trigger" for the virus. There, the team was provided with transportation for their mission: a Hummer taken by Chris and a Ducati motorcycle taken by Kennedy. After destroying the first fuel truck, Chris, Kennedy, and Damian were attacked by infected dogs who quickly decapitated the latter before turning their attention to Chris. Kennedy revved his motorcycle loudly to attract the dogs before giving chase at full speed. This allowed Chris to continue destroying the virus-filled tanker trucks. Leading the dogs towards the freeway, Kennedy easily dispatched the two infected dogs and raced to Arias' headquarters to aid Chris. Arriving in time to help Chris kill the remaining zombies from the first wave, the duo were confronted by even more zombies. Kennedy and Chris managed to hold them off until Chris decided that time was running out for Rebecca and Kennedy told Chris to go ahead to save Rebecca while he stayed behind to kill the zombies. After Arias mutated into a powerful creature, Kennedy arrived just in time to the rooftop after killing all the zombies to save Chris from being crushed to death by Arias, crashing his motorcycle into Arias' legs. Kennedy then skillfully dodged Arias' attacks and even managed to kick Arias in his head. As Arias was grabbing onto Silver Dagger's helicopter, Kennedy drove his motorcycle at high speed and jumped off the motorcycle at the last minute to allow the motorcycle to crash into Arias. Kennedy then shot at the motorcycle, causing it to explode and severely injuring Arias before being killed by Chris. After Arias' defeat, Kennedy looked back on his life thinking that there was still much more to come.
