In 2004, President Graham's daughter was abducted on her way home from the University of Massachusetts, which had signs of an internal work. They implanted a parasite in the hope that it would become useful. The reason for this was not widely known even to his followers, and the villagers continued to try to kill him. The hostage he escaped with, Dr. Luis Serra, was a "mole" in Saddler's Prophet bioweapon development program and was captured while trying to escape with a stolen Plagiarism egg of a dominant species in exchange for rescue by an Organization, a secret group with which Dr. Albert Wesker was associated. Unwilling to disclose this information at the time, he instead lied that he was a former Madrid police officer who was in captivity.
