Appearance

Chuuya has orange hair, which he wears in a low ponytail that reaches his left shoulder. He has blue eyes and a yellowish skin tone. He wears a black hat with a red ribbon, a rank honored by Osamu Dazai on certain occasions. As for his clothing, he typically wears a white button-down shirt with a bolo tie adorned with a silver buckle, a sleeveless gray vest, and a short jacket with rolled-up sleeves. He also wears black pants held up with a black belt, which he slung to the side, and shoes of the same color. Chūya also wears a distinctive, very long black coat that he uses as a sort of cape. In the light novel "Fifteen" it is mentioned that her former attire was a rider's suit.

Chuuya is a temperamental and arrogant man who tends to become easily irritated, losing his temper easily. He loves to fight and is happy to show off his combat skills, taking pride in his reputation as the Mafia's strongest martial artist. While his skills and presence signal an inherent threat, he's trustworthy enough that Mori tasks him with taking on the Armed Detective Agency during the three-way conflict involving Guild. It's true that he didn't hesitate to retaliate and strike back against Akiko Yosano and Kenji Miyazawa (in fact, he takes pleasure in fighting people who fight well), but as soon as Yukichi Fukuzawa approaches him for more information, Chuuya stops the battle.
