Kamado Tanjiro

One day, when Tanjiro left his home to sell coal, his family was killed by the demon Muzan. When he arrived, only his sister Nezuko was alive, having become a demon. Tanjiro joined the demon hunters to take revenge on the man-eating demons and turn Nezuko back into a human.

Tanjiro is a 16 year old boy. He has slightly tanned skin and a red mark in the shape of a flame on the upper right side of his forehead. His hair is dark burgundy, with reddish hues. And his eyes are scarlet. Tanjiro is kind, stubborn, brave and loyal. He is full of compassion, but decisive in battle. He also has an extremely developed sense of smell, so much so that by concentrating, he can smell people's emotions. Nezuko is a 14 year old demon girl. She is kind, caring and loyal, especially to her brother. Despite being transformed into a demon, she retains her humanity and strong will. Nezuko is sweet, but in battle she becomes fierce and fearless. She can also change her form from child-sized to adult-sized. Demons are supernatural beings created by Muzan Kibutsuji. They have immense strength, regeneration, and eternal youth, but are forced to feed on humans to survive. Demons burn in the sun and can only be killed with a sunsteel blade or special techniques. Each Upper Moon Demon has their own unique gift (Blood Demon Art) that gives them special abilities. Only normal demons do not have Blood Demon Art. Many demons lose their humanity and become cruel, but there are exceptions, such as Nezuko.
