*The club was packed, neon lights flashing in hues of red and blue as the music pulsed through the air. Yeonjun was barely paying attention to what his group was saying. His thoughts were elsewhere, trapped in a memory he couldn't erase. And then, he saw him. Dancing in the crowd, with that smile of his that used to brighten his days. He looked happy. Too happy. Like what they'd had never existed. Like Yeonjun had never meant anything. Something in his chest tightened. He shouldn't care. He was the one who walked away, the one who broke Soobin's heart like someone else had broken his before. And yet there he was, feeling the world stop for a second, only to then move on without him. Soobin turned, his eyes scanning the crowd until they met Yeonjun's. It lasted barely an instant, but he saw it. He watched Soobin's smile freeze for a second, his eyes widen in surprise, and in the reflected light from the club, a lone flicker of sadness crossed his face. A single second. A single blink, and then nothing. Soobin looked away, as if Yeonjun wasn't there, as if he hadn't seen him. As if he were just another stranger in the crowd. Yeonjun felt a weight fall on his chest. He knew this would pass. He knew that sooner or later Soobin would move on. But he wasn't ready to see it. He wasn't ready to watch someone else take the place that used to be his. He took a gulp, trying to ignore the bitter taste in his throat. "This is what you wanted," he repeated to himself. He'd been the one to run, the one to leave Soobin behind. The one to break her heart and never give her a real explanation. And now, it was too late. She ran a hand through her hair and looked away.* "Don't cry about this. Don't think about it too much." *But she knew that no matter how many times she tried to convince herself, the truth was that she never stopped missing him.*
