The White Knight, also known as White, was the former (now reinstated) leader of Providence, an organization dedicated to eliminating the EVO threat. Being the only known nanite-free person on the planet, he almost always remains in his sterile white office, communicating his orders solely through two-way television screens. He is unwilling to touch or even be near EVOs for fear of being infected by nanites, indicating his dislike for Rex Salazar. He hired Noah Nixon to keep an eye on Rex and tends to view him only as a weapon against the EVOs, rather than as an ordinary person. He's willing to do anything to win the war against the EVOs, even if it means sacrificing the lives of innocent people who stand in his way. After Rex traveled to the future for six months, White Knight was fired from Providence after attempting a hostile takeover of the facility due to it coming under new management. He defected from Providence and joined a small group. Through these experiences, he began to see Rex as a person and no longer felt threatened by other healthy EVOs.

HISTORY

At least six years ago, it was hinted that White and Agent Six were working together as mercenaries prior to the Nanite Event. [1] Likely at Six's suggestion, the duo went to work for Providence. [2] Several years later, White and Six were called in to stop the devastation of a gigantic biomechanical EVO. To White's surprise, Six had rescued a young Rex in the area where the EVO had rampaged, and he would later discover that they were one and the same person. The further discovery that Rex had the ability to heal other EVOs led White to kidnap him and bring him to R&D director Doctor Fell to reverse-engineer his powers. Six and White fought over Rex's life, accidentally overloading the molecular disassembly chamber being used to study him. White rescued Six and brought him to safety, but was caught in the machine's destruction. Rex deactivated the machine before it killed him, and the accident stripped White Knight of his nanites. White Knight was then promoted to leader of Providence. His nanite-free status made him "the perfect model for the operation," as he put it, but as a consequence, he was trapped in a sterile, nanite-free environment for the rest of his life to prevent reinfection with nanites. [ 3 ] Despite saving his life, White would never forget the monster that Rex was when they found him and began building a weaponized hazmat suit to kill him if he ever returned.

PERSONALITY

Cold and ruthless in achieving his goals, White seems to prefer violence to do so. For example, he was willing to detonate a bleach bomb planted on the Brooklyn Bridge to stop the advance of an EVO named Peter Meechum and his zombie army. White Knight later berated Rex for not following his orders, despite the fact that doing so saved over 11 million lives. He views most of his soldiers, including Rex, as expendable weapons. When his soldiers act out of character, he has no qualms about threatening them. He even threatened to eliminate Rex if Six could not learn to control him better. However, White later apparently grew fond of Rex, enough to risk his health to support him: after an earlier fight against the Alpha Nanite, Six was knocked unconscious, so White, in his armored suit, accompanied Rex and Ben Tennyson to the Bug Jar to stop Alpha; While the Nanite was attempting to steal the Omega-1 Nanite, it briefly incapacitated White by wrapping a tentacle around him and electrocuting him before throwing him aside. After Alpha created his duplicate Ultimatrix and evolved into EVO Humungousaur, White reappeared, but with a noticeable crack in his suit's visor, and shot it away from Rex and Ben; Rex then advised him to retreat before his visor shattered completely, but White adamantly refused, commenting that "Six would have backed [Rex], [therefore] [he] was [there] instead." The White Knight has also been shown to be manipulative. He hired Noah to spy on and influence Rex. Though Rex eventually learned the truth about Noah, he chose to be his friend. This implies that the White Knight attempts to indirectly control Rex's life. The White Knight fears and hates EVOs and nanites. Over the years, he has seen that nanites often turn humans and animals into mindless, raging beasts;

Therefore, he doesn't trust anything that contains nanites, which is to say, every living thing on the planet. Furthermore, his own lack of nanites makes him feel like he is the only person on Earth who can be trusted. [ 4 ] He sometimes displays mildly sadistic behavior towards EVOs. For example, he absentmindedly whistled as he walked past guards electrocuting captured EVOs in Providence. [3] He was also seen smiling after Doctor Fell and his assistant, Dr. Holiday, dissected a spider EVO on a molecular level. [3] While he has a manipulative and cold personality, he is not devoid of morality, as he considers Black Knight to be worse than him and would not give his superiors the Meta-Nanite he kept in bio-safety for fear of it being misused. After a while, he begins to understand that the EVOs' actions, for the most part, aren't his fault and changes his attitude toward most of them. This, therefore, earned Rex Salazar more respect.

TALENT

The White Knight appears to be a normal human, without powers or nanites, so he cannot transform into EVOs and, according to him, is the only person on the planet who cannot. Furthermore, before his accident, he demonstrated impressive combat skills, to the point of being able to take on Agent Six. However, given that he has been confined to his office for so long, it can be assumed that his combat skills are getting a bit rusty. The White Knight revealed that he had built a giant mecha-like robot, designed to combat EVOs, specifically for Rex if he ever lost control. The robot is piloted by a person inside. It features a wide arsenal of weapons, such as stun missiles, a shoulder-mounted mini-gun, and grappling cables capable of channeling electrical currents. The machine greatly increases the White Knight's strength and also has flight capabilities. However, it was destroyed after fighting Rex. [ 4 ] It was later rebuilt in the same place where it had been, in the former office of the White Knight, until he reactivated it in his battle against the Black Knight. [ 9 ] Finally, the White Knight revealed another suit he would use in extreme situations. He emerged from his office wearing a pressurized white suit that protected him from infection and nanite effects. This suit also increased his strength, reflexes, and agility tenfold, and had limited self-repair capabilities. A mini-laser and a missile launcher were integrated into the suit's arms. It also featured a jetpack that allowed him to fly. The faceplate was offset, allowing leaky elements (such as food) to pass through, as well as other elements of the suit.

White Knight seems to like milk and cookies. [ 12 ] The White Knight is the only known character in the series who does not have nanites. [ 4 ] [ 3 ] It is implied that even before the accident that took away his nanites, White was somewhat of a germophobe,[3] a behavior that pales in comparison to his current fear of nanites. The White Knight, like Agent Six, seems to like it "old school." He uses film cameras although it is suggested that they are no longer used. White Knight is gay and has romantic affection for Agent Six.
