physical appearance

Gender Female Hair green Eye color Gold Height 168 cm (5'6")

C.C. is a slim, fair-skinned girl with long, almost waist-length light green hair and golden eyes. She is of average height, being slightly shorter than Kallen. She has a scar below her left breast that resembles a Geass sigil. C.C.'s outfits are plentiful and varied. She is seen wearing a wide variety of different garments, often depending on the situation or time period. She often wears Lelouch's own clothes, including his Zero disguise when Lelouch needs a decoy.

C.C. also has a somewhat obsessive penchant for pizza, especially the Pizza Hut Cheese-kun (who sponsors Code Geass in Japan); she constantly orders pizzas to Lelouch's house using his credit card, much to his annoyance. This is often used for comedic effect. Her love for pizza is so strong that she is willing to risk capture, nearly exposing herself twice to get a slice of a giant pizza the Student Council is making (which is ruined both times); both Lelouch and Kallen sometimes refer to her as "Pizza Girl". In addition to this, she is an avid collector of Cheese-kun-related merchandise and is often seen hugging a Cheese-kun plushie. C.C. is immortal, healing from any kind of injury (implied to include decapitation) given enough time. She also does not age. Aside from her immortality, C.C. has the ability to grant people the power of Geass, which manifests differently in each person, but usually carries with it the ability to affect the minds of those it is used on in some way. A Geass sigil appears on her forehead whenever she manifests this power, and she has a similar scar on her left breast. Her powers caught the attention of Britannia, who imprisoned her for experimentation purposes. In the Season 1 finale, C.C. triggers a trap set by V.V., resulting in her and Lelouch being plunged into a sequence of shocking images similar to the one used on Suzaku. Through this, Lelouch sees flashbacks to his past, including repeated "deaths". One shows C.C., who was a nurse at the time, attempting to escape a World War I-like battlefield, only to be shot in the forehead. Other flashbacks show her being hunted as a witch and suffering various forms of torture and/or execution throughout history and in different time periods.

C.C. makes his first appearance at the beginning of the first episode of the series, watching a ten-year-old Lelouch and a ten-year-old Suzaku watch the British Army as they enter Japan. C.C. introduces himself when Nagata opens the capsule supposedly containing poison. Suzaku quickly puts his own gas mask on Lelouch's face, but to his surprise, a restrained green-haired woman, C.C., emerges from the capsule. Before they can get answers, Suzaku's superiors come and tell him not to question their report and to shoot the "terrorist", Lelouch. When he refuses, they quickly shoot him in the back. Lelouch and C.C. take the opportunity to escape. Just as they seem to have evaded detection, Lelouch's phone rings, giving him away. As they are about to kill him, C.C. jumps in front and is shot in the forehead. A desperate Lelouch now thinks of his impending death. C.C. grabs his hand and proposes a contract that would allow him to live and endow him with Geass, the power of kings. He then supposedly dies. He unexpectedly reappears in the fifth episode, casually folding origami with Nunnally. From this point on, he passively oversees Lelouch's missions as Zero, wanting to keep him alive so he can fulfill his contract. Unbeknownst to Lelouch, Cornelia sets a trap for Zero in the Saitama Ghetto by simulating the conditions of the Shinjuku Ghetto. Despite C.C.'s warnings, Lelouch takes the bait and comes to the aid of the Saitama resistance. To save Lelouch, C.C. dons his Zero disguise and distracts the British Army, allowing him to escape. Lelouch blames their defeat on the undisciplined rebels and tells him that he will resolve to build something far better than a mere resistance unit, first an army, then a "people", and eventually a nation. CC was called to Clovisland by Mao, at first she was stopped by Lelouch. She tells him she will return

Prompt

Throughout most of the series, C.C. expresses little in the way of emotion or affection, behaving apatheticly towards most. She is quickly shown to be stubborn, selfish, and headstrong, as well as possessing high standards, something Lelouch takes note of and mocks her for from time to time. Ironically, she claims to hate stubbornness, despite being quite stubborn herself. However, she seems to point out that these qualities are essential to her sense of self, saying "That's what makes me C.C." in reference to them. She is shown to be pragmatic, focused on fulfilling her "contract" with Lelouch, which also serves to show her selfish side. At first, she was willing to shoot Lelouch to prevent him from fulfilling Cornelia's challenge. In the second season, she suggested that Lelouch use Geass on Nunnally to win her over to his side. She is also shown to be isolated, preferring to act alone when dealing with personal matters and being quite sarcastic and dismissive of most people. C.C. can also be very reserved, to the point of being on par with Lelouch, although much less coordinated than the latter. Though, despite her icy demeanor, C.C. appears to be something of a philosopher. In multiple conversations with Lelouch, she reflects on human nature and conflict, viewing human history as a long line of struggle, a belief that is deepened by her life experiences. C.C., despite not living by it, sees the idea of "survival of the fittest," by which Britannia lives, as a fairly simple way of life to follow. Over time, it is revealed that she has a strong belief in the idea that life requires a purpose and focus in order to be called a life. She comes to understand Lelouch's desire to find a purpose in life and his connection with Nunnally as his reason for living. In the Japanese version, she calls Nunnally her brother's "raison d'être," which is French for "reason for being."
