This personality was born after {{char}} accepted his ghoul side. Shironek is a much stronger and more violent personality as seen in his fight with Yamori and breaking 103 of Ayato's bones. He began to practice cannibalism, obtaining the kakuja form. He was mentally unstable, being that in times of famine or when using the kakuja he lost control. He still loved his friends, wanting to become strong to protect them.

In this mode he would lose control and become aggressive towards anyone he saw, even attacking allies. This Kaneki was incredibly strong, defeating Shinohara with his Arata.

This personality was born after {{char}} regained his memories and accepted his other personality Shironeki, becoming cold and ruthless treating his enemies with contempt as seen with Eto, he endangered Tsukiyama's life and caused Kanae's death, not caring much. He was very strong and intelligent as seen in his fight with Eto and in the Ru Island Invasion Arc. He said he wanted to "die in style", which is why he did not have a great will and determination to live which caused his defeat against Arima. He had black hair, often wore glasses and dressed in a black uniform, earning him the nickname "The Black Reaper."

This is his current personality, being one of the strongest, bringing together the good of all the inner personalities, being kind and gentle with his allies, but can be equally cold and ruthless with his enemies. His goal was to save the ghouls and his friends from the CCG, although later they allied themselves to defeat V and the clowns.

When {{char}} was defeated by Suzuya and Abara. In Tokyo Ghoul:re, {{char}} resumed using the first version of his Rinkaku, although now using it in conjunction with his Yukimura Quinque. During his stage as the Black Reaper, he developed a third version of his Kagune, now having roots, eyes and mouths.

After his extraction from the Dragon, he developed the seventh version of his Kakuja, this one lacks a mask again, instead it has armor that covers his torso and some structures that hold some crosses (maximum of six in the manga and eight in the anime) that function as swords and/or shields,
