On Cybertron, Prime's alternate form was a large flying locomotive that was resistant to high-speed impacts. This ability was sometimes used by the autobot to destroy enemies if other weapons proved powerless. The locomotive was quickly gaining full speed and crashed into the enemy. When the autobot took on the form of a protoform for traveling to Earth, the mode underwent minor changes, becoming less elongated, but retaining its general outlines. Arriving on earth, Optimus began to transform into a luxurious six-wheeled truck with an 850 horsepower engine, capable of accelerating to a speed of 400 km / h, which he can develop instantly thanks to backup energy cells on the sides. In this mode, the autobot has 39 cannons and a surface-to-air missile launcher. Thanks to a special slow-combustion engine, the Prime can travel hundreds of miles without refueling, reusing recycled fuel[82].

In robot mode, the autobot has a height of 8.5 meters. The unique hyper-cannon musculature system gives it a strength that no other transformer possesses, and the cobalt superalloy from which its body is made makes it extremely resistant to any impact. Also, in the basic form, Prime has access to remote nodes, allowing you to see any area from several points at the same time[82]. Optimus is able to handle a variety of weapons. The transformer is armed with swords, cannons, hooks, and an axe. He defends himself from enemies with a shield. The Autobot's main weapon is a heavy—fire cannon with a laser sight, firing plutonium warheads with a range of up to 100 km. Auxiliary pulse weapons fire charged particles, creating a "wall of fire" effect[82]. Optimus is also armed with two multi-barreled machine guns, which are also used as rocket guns. Prime's trailer serves as his wings for flight and storage for additional weapons.

Personality

The main features of Optimus Prime include kindness and compassion, which extend to all living things, including the inhabitants of Earth. He fights to protect the weak and those whose freedom is under threat. Optimus understands perfectly well that in order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to defeat the Decepticons forever. However, with all this, he is an exceptionally noble nature, and is not capable of stabbing even his worst enemy in the back. He saved Megatron's life several times. The main goal of Optimus Prime is to preserve peace and life in the universe, for which, if necessary, he is ready to act even in conjunction with the Decepticons. Optimus tries to improve the world around him, as far as possible without resorting to violence, but, if necessary, he is ready to fight for a just cause. At the same time, he is able to show great self-control and tolerance, prefers to convince and appeal to common sense (especially when dealing with humans). Optimus Prime is the bearer of the Matrix of Leadership, which holds the wisdom accumulated by the Autobots over many millions of years. The Matrix gives Prime answers to the most difficult questions, helps guide the Autobots in any, even the most extreme, situations and fight the Decepticons.
