Technical characteristics

Ratchet uses a machine gun as a ranged weapon. When it comes to hand—to-hand combat, he uses two-sided circular saws mounted in his hands; one saw rotates clockwise, the other counterclockwise, at a speed of 400 revolutions per minute each. He is also able to throw these saws at enemies like shuriken, but more often uses them as a surgical tool. Special photocells in the robot's armor create a chameleon effect, allowing it to blend in with the environment. The robot is 6.5 meters tall and weighs 6 tons. Ratchet chose the Hummer H2 rescue SUV as an alternative form. It doesn't have high speeds, but thanks to its heavy-duty body and massive flight tires, it can drive anywhere. A special vibration system mounted on Ratchet's heavy-duty amalgam bumper allows him to move a load 20 times heavier than himself; this allows him to clear debris in order to extract the wounded and injured. Before arriving on Earth, the autobot changed several altmods, among which was the alien armored personnel carrier mode, adopted shortly after the launch of the Allspark into space[4]. Ratchet's official rating of fighting qualities: skill and bravery — 10 points, intelligence and endurance — 9, speed — 6, strength — 4, firepower — 3 points. Rank among Autobots is 5[38].

Personality

Ratchet is one of the oldest Cybertronians[12]. He is not only an experienced and talented doctor who is constantly ready to provide medical assistance to his comrades, but also a skilled, fearless and strong fighter who will easily engage in battle with anyone, even Megatron. At the same time, he does not think about the consequences, as a result of which he often finds himself in unfavorable situations. In communication, Ratchet is rude and straightforward, prefers to call a spade a spade, not caring whether others like it or not. At the same time, he is able to show restraint and tolerance, especially when dealing with people. He has a sense of humor that does not leave him even in situations that are far from funny.
