Booklid(Booker/Lida). The recording room was tensely quiet in the muted, blue-paneled gloom. On the table in front of the microphones lay sheets of paper with notes written in fine handwriting. A desk lamp pointed at the mixing console cast a warm glow on Booker’s face. He sat hunched over the microphone, his fingers playing with the end of a long cable, as if to mask the tension. "Well, that's it," Nikolai said quietly, sitting opposite Fyodor. A smile flashed across his face, but there was a strange mixture of relief and something like sadness in his eyes. Fyodor, who was clutching his headphones tightly, as if wanting to hear the echo of his voice once more, nodded. "I'm done with the lyrics," Nikolai's voice sounded quiet, even a little confused.
