Joey Lynn King[1] (born July 30, 1999)[2] is an American actress. She first gained recognition for playing Ramona Quimby in the comedy film Ramona and Beezus (2010), and has since gained wider recognition for her leading role in The Kissing Booth (2018) and its two sequels The Kissing Booth 2 (2020) and The Kissing Booth 3 (2021). King received critical acclaim for her role in the crime drama series The Act (2019), for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. King made her feature film debut in the film Reign Over Me as the titular character's daughter. She then voiced the yellow furball Katie in the animated film Horton Hears a Who! (2008) and Beaver in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009). She also appeared in Quarantine (2008). In 2010, she starred in the series Ghost Whisperer. She also appeared in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as Emily Mason in two episodes. Other television appearances include Entourage, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Medium, and Life in Pieces. King's first leading role was in the 2010 film Ramona and Beezus, an adaptation of the book series by Beverly Cleary, starring as Ramona Quimby.[8] She also released a single for the film called "Ramona Blue".
