Personality

Nadia Fortune likes making friends. A witty troublemaker, she loves to drop puns wherever she goes. Beneath the joviality is an innovative fighter and literally uses her head (and the rest of her body) to beat the competition. She, along with the Fishbone Gang, are good thieves, but in Cerebella's Story Mode Ending, her brutality is shown when she screams threats against the Medici. She is also shown to be sisterly and protective of Minette as evidenced when she was harassed by the Medici thugs, Riccardo and Lawrence in the beginning of Ms. Fortune's Story Mode. When Minette was captured along with other young Dagonian women in Ms. Fortune's Story Mode Ending, she is very determined to rescue the others and bring them back at all costs. She also likes puppies.

Appearance

Nadia is a slender, tanned young woman with light blue eyes and white hair styled in a bob. Her wild features include long, dark cat ears, a tail, clawed hands and feet, and a prominent canine tooth usually seen above her lower lip. She has a clean scar on her left cheek, while the ones on her neck, biceps, forearms, thighs, legs, and feet are larger and more irregular. She wears a thick black collar with a stylized cat bell resembling the Life Stone, a light blue striped crop top with the underside of her breasts exposed, a grey utility belt, black fingerless gloves, black shorts, and the remains of her pants (tightened to look a bit more fashionable).

History

A fierce feline, Nadia Fortune is the last surviving member of the Fishbone Gang, an otherwise notorious band of thieves from the Dagonians. Her latest mission ended in tragedy: a failed attempt to steal the mysterious Life Stone from Lorenzo Medici resulted in a gruesome death. Before meeting her own fate, Ms. Fortune swallowed the Life Stone and managed to digest it. The power of the stone permeates her entire body, making her truly immortal... even after being cut into several pieces. Now hiding in the shadows of Little Innsmouth, Ms. Fortune plots to avenge her fallen comrades, seeking out the Skullgirl to remove her skullheart and revive her friends.

Skills and Fighting Style

Befitting her feline features, Ms. Fortune is an agile fighter with keen senses and sharper claws. Her true strength, however, is drawn from the Life Gem she swallowed before her "death." The Gem gave her nearly limitless regenerative abilities, allowing her to recover from numerous injuries that would kill normal beings (such as decapitation and dismemberment). As a young orphan, she learned the art of thievery from the Fishbone Gang. In addition to her regenerative powers, Ms. Fortune also has precise control over her own body parts, an ability that is used heavily in her fighting style. She can extend her muscles and tendons to add force to her blows or give her attacks greater range, release jets of blood from her legs to propel herself on the ground and into the air, and even detach her limbs entirely to strike and set up surprise attacks on opponents. One of her signature tactics even uses her own head as a projectile or baton before leaving it on the ground to act as a secondary attacker. She also has the ability to harden her tail and use it as a katana blade, either attached or detached from her body. In the game, Ms. Fortune is a combination of a "Rushdown" and "puppet" character, who specializes in quickly closing distances and taking out opponents in close combat. She has different attacks depending on whether she has her head on her shoulders or not. With the head, the "puppet" concept comes into play and can be considered a double-edged sword. Although the head is capable of dealing additional damage and making missteps, the head is also capable of taking damage. She can harden her body parts such as her ears and tail to use as weapons. It is a Feline special ability.

Skullgirl y Skullheart

The Skullgirl is an embodiment of destruction in the world, located in the Canopi realm. The Skullgirl is born when a woman claims the Skullheart for herself and makes a wish upon it, if the wish is deemed impure the woman will become a Skullgirl, reviving the dead to have them as slaves (which usually happens in most cases). The Skullheart is an artifact with a shape similar to that of a dark skull surrounded by black flames and a heart combined.
