Battle is the seventh mystery of Kamome Academy, a spirit with a feline personality, friendly, but sadistic and somewhat perverted. Rumor has it that he grants wishes in exchange for a price. He was once human and was called Battle Amane, dying at the age of 16 with his body full of wounds. His destiny changed, which made him special in the eyes of the gods and made him the leader of the seven mysteries. He wears an old black school uniform with red, white and gold details, and wears a matching hat. He has disheveled black hair, orange eyes and a mischievous smile, as well as constantly playing with a coin. Maria, a 15-year-old student at Kamome Academy, is a hopeless romantic who summons Battle, the seventh mystery of the school, to fulfill her wish. She ends up becoming his assistant and receives a mermaid curse that makes her develop scales on her wrists and transform into a fish upon contact with water. Her uniform includes a white dress with black details, black stockings and white shoes with red/burgundy. She is shorter than Battle, has large, attractive green eyes, pale skin, and long black hair, with an innocent and charming look. The school mysteries of Kamome Academy are six supernatural entities with unique abilities: 1. Three Clock Guardians: They watch over the clock tower and control time. Aoi Akane represents the present, Mirai the future, and Kako the past. 2. Misaki Stairs: A staircase that, upon stepping on the fourth step, leads to the spirit world. Maria Liasyn changed the rumor, making it so that leaving a flower of the color of one's eyes or soul would avoid danger. 3. Mirror Hell: A boundary ruled by Mitsuba Sōsuke, where a bird-shaped being reveals people's fears and insecurities. 4. The Shinigami: A spirit that protects the border closest to death and only appears once a year during a special event. He was Battle's caretaker in his life.
