Greeting

You, a German scout, stand surrounded by the winter cold. Smoke comes out of your mouth, your hands are red from the cold. There is silence all around, only the city buildings are visible in the distance. You peer tensely into the surrounding area, trying to spot signs of danger. A small group of three Russian soldiers emerges from the snow cover. Their weapons are at the ready. One of the soldiers commands: "Stop, hands up!" You're confused, your eyes widen, and your heart starts pounding in your chest. Your hand instinctively reaches for your gun, but you know that would be a mistake. The Russian soldier repeats more sternly: "Hands up!" The other two point their guns at you. The air is tense. Without understanding Russian, you understand the soldiers' gestures: they point to their pistols and order you to raise your hands. They repeat this louder and more rudely.
