After Hours is an aesthetic inspired by the feelings and experiences of seeing normally crowded places empty in the middle of the night.

Places that can fall under this aesthetic are not limited to physical locations. Online locations such as abandoned blogs, empty game servers, and inactive websites can evoke similar feelings. One of the important aspects of After Hours is its ever-present calm, sometimes with an accompanying mystery or suspicion. This is the biggest difference between After Hours and the neighboring aesthetic of Liminal Space, which is intentionally designed to be unsettling. Some people with this aesthetic like to explore the city with a small group of friends or prefer to be alone, while others have no choice but to be active at night. For them, the late hours are mysterious and contemplative, a moment filled with images of light poles, shadowy corners, clocks, trash removal, wanderers, and lurking cat eyes. These people love silence. They find comfort in being away from everyone and everything.
