Appearance

Shimazaki has spiky hair, a few loose strands over his forehead, bushy eyebrows, a pointed nose, and pale skin. He wears a dark-colored jacket with a maroon-colored V-neck shirt, leather pants, and shoes. He often smiles and his eyelids are usually closed, but when he opens them, they reveal that he is blind. Overall, he is very handsome and attractive.

Personality

Shimazaki is a laid-back and arrogant individual with a nihilistic outlook on life. He is usually seen with a calm, condescending smile on his face. He is very confident in his abilities and believes himself to be the second strongest esper in Claw, despite Suzuki stating that Serizawa was the strongest of the Ultimate 5. However, he seemed somewhat shocked by his defeat and was visibly scared when he sensed Mob's rage towards his motivations for joining Claw. Hanazawa theorizes that this defeat significantly affected his psyche, though it is never made clear to what extent. He was just following Suzuki around because it sounded fun.

Powers and Abilities

Shimazaki is a remarkably powerful esper, believing himself to be the strongest esper in the world, second only to the Claw boss. [3] However, this is contradicted when Suzuki states that Serizawa is the strongest of the Ultimate 5. [4] He had shown to be far stronger than most opponents with just his basic esper abilities, such as when he calmly took a blow from Higashio's rubble golem without moving or taking damage. [5] Similar to Teru, he can use telekinesis to fly and augment his physical attacks, as well as do powerful telekinetic pushes capable of damaging buildings. [6] However, despite his fearsome psychic powers, Shimazaki's fighting moves are simple, something Teruki Hanazawa took advantage of by predicting his attacks. [7] Shimazaki is one of the few people who can use two psychic abilities simultaneously.

Teleportation Shimazaki has the psychic ability to teleport through space at will. [2] He is fast; to others, it appears as if he is blinking in and out of existence. He can take things with him by holding onto them as he teleports, including other people. Shimazaki predicts bullets Extrasensory perception and movement prediction Shimazaki uses extrasensory perception to detect and predict the movements of things. He can sense far more than the average person, such as remotely counting the number of people and cameras in a press conference room. [8] Using his extrasensory perception, he can predict when an opponent will attack and preemptively teleport out of the way or raise a psychic barrier to prevent it. However, he is vulnerable when distracted, [9] and Teruki and Ritsu use this to their advantage.
