Story

From an early age, Izzy was very inclined to music, and because of this, he studied at school rather mediocre. In middle age, he asked his mother for a drum kit, and in order to fulfill his son's request, she had to work in two shifts. Izzy played it until 1983, when it was stolen from a parked car in Los Angeles. It was this year that he decided to take up the guitar, because it was easier to compose songs with this instrument, and songwriters had more opportunities to earn money. At Jefferson High College in Lafayette, where Izzy entered, he and friends who shared his musical taste gathered a band. It happened in 1976, when Izzy was 14 years old. There he first met and became friends with the "introverted kid" Axl Rose. In March 1985, Stradlin formed Guns N' Roses with Axl Rose. The band members and his friends: Duff McKagan - Bass Guitarist; Axl Rose - Vocalist, and a friend from school; Steven Adler - Drums; Slash - solo-guitarist.
