Wolverine origins:
Logan and his brother Victor are fighting in the Vietnam War, when Victor tries to rape a young girl. When a soldier tries to stop him, Victor releases his rage and begins committing murders against his fellow soldiers. Logan defends his brother, however, the two end up being shot by a firing squad, but his healing factor allows them to survive. William Stryker asks them to join a special team he is assembling, full of special people, including mutants. The team begins searching for a mysterious meteorite fragment in Africa. Logan leaves the team when he refuses to participate in Stryker's mass murders. Six years later, as the team begins to be killed off by Victor, Logan lives quietly as a lumberjack in the Canadian mountains with his girlfriend Kayla Silverfox, who is fascinated with a Native American myth about "Wolverine". Stryker returns to inform Logan that members of the old team are being killed and asks for his help, but Logan refuses. Kayla is killed by Victor and Logan seeks revenge, but after tracking him down to a bar, Victor defeats him. Stryker offers Logan a chance to become more powerful: Weapon X, an experiment involving coating the skeleton with Adamantium. Logan accepts, and orders new dog tags with the name "Wolverine" on them.
Logan is subjected to the experiment and briefly falls into an inert state, before miraculously reviving. Logan overhears a conversation that confirms that Stryker wants to erase his memory and continue his experiments. Logan escapes the facility and finds refuge in a farmhouse, where an elderly couple welcomes him. The pair are killed by Agent Zero, and Logan swears vengeance against Victor and Stryker, before killing Zero. Logan finds Wraith for help, and the two seek out a mutant named Gambit, who knows the location of the mutant experimentation facility Stryker has built. While searching for him in Las Vegas, Logan encountered Victor and they fought once more, this time defeating Victor. Enraged, Logan was about to kill him when Gambit interrupted the fight. Victor saw his opportunity and fled the scene. After a fight with Gambit, Logan is taken to the island, where he discovers that Kayla is alive and was part of a conspiracy, faking her death under Stryker's orders. Logan and Victor fight each other, and the fight ends in Logan's favor, though he passes up the chance for revenge to save his own morality. He and Kayla free a large number of mutant prisoners, but he becomes involved in a major battle with Deadpool (Wade Wilson implanted with various mutant powers and under Stryker's control), and forms an alliance with Victor to fight the creature. Logan decapitates Deadpool, whose optic blasts cause the place to collapse. Victor and Logan go their separate ways, and Logan searches for Kayla, finding her wounded by a bullet. Wolverine is shot in the head by an Adamantium bullet fired by Stryker. When he recovers, Logan suffers from severe amnesia and remembers nothing of his past. He does not recognize Kayla's body or Gambit, and needs to remember his name. Logan leaves to find answers
x-men 1 2 and 3
Fifteen years later, Logan appears as a reclusive cigar smoker who wanders from place to place in Canada, where he fights people in cage fights for money, taking advantage of the increased durability that his Adamantium skeleton and healing factor grant him. Later at the bar, Marie, also called Rogue, a girl who is fleeing Mississippi because of his power, warns him that Stu, a guy he beat in a cage fight, is going to attack him from behind and he confronts him, using his retractable Adamantium claws. The bar owner then kicks him out and seeing that he has scared everyone, he leaves. As he is about to leave in his truck, he notices Rogue in the back and asks if he can come. At first he refuses, but changes his mind and takes her with him. On the way, their van is attacked by Sabretooth (a mutated Victor Creed). Wolverine attempted to fight him off, but was knocked out. Before Sabretooth could do any more damage, he was stopped and driven off by two members of the X-Men - Cyclops and Storm, who rescue Wolverine and Rogue and take them to the X-Mansion. When Dr. Jean Grey attempts to treat Wolverine, he regains consciousness and immediately looks for a way out. He discovers that there are mutants like him out there who are trying to control their supernatural abilities under the tutelage of Professor Charles Xavier. Professor X convinces Wolverine to stay with them and become an X-Man, as he might have a chance to learn more about his forgotten past. Wolverine reluctantly agrees and stays.
Later, Mystique, posing as Bobby Drake, tells Rogue to leave because "she's a danger to everyone else." This is actually a trick to get Rogue out of the X-Mansion, so that she could be used by Magneto to control a machine that could turn all humans into mutants. When Wolverine learns of Rogue's absence, he goes to find her on Cyclops's bike and convinces her to return to Professor X's school, but the pair are intercepted by Magneto, who defeats Wolverine and kidnaps Rogue. Wolverine, along with Jean, Cyclops, and Storm, go to the Statue of Liberty, where Magneto is putting his plan into motion. In the process, Wolverine finds Mystique and stabs her, nearly killing her, but she survives. He is also challenged by Sabretooth and the two engage in a fight atop the Statue of Liberty, falling and clinging to the Statue's face with his claws. After climbing it, he gives Cyclops back the visor Sabretooth had taken from him and Sabretooth blasts him off the Statue with an optic blast. Wolverine then allows himself to be carried away by the Statue's torch by the wind created by Storm to free Rogue from Magneto's machine, and gives her his powers so she can heal herself, risking his life. They then return to the X-Mansion. Professor X gives Wolverine a lead to his search for his past, as promised, directing him to a mysterious lake called Alkali. Before leaving, Wolverine gives Rogue his Army badge as a guarantee that he will return and then departs from the Mansion to Alkali Lake on Cyclops's motorcycle.
Going to Alkali Lake, Wolverine encounters Sabretooth and they fight, but are stopped by Stryker's armed soldiers, so they escape. A few months later, upon returning to the X-Mansion, Logan is greeted by Rogue and the other X-Men. That same day he learns of the near-murder at the White House. While waiting with Iceman for Storm to return, they are attacked by Stryker, who takes many of the mutants to the mansion. Wolverine confronts Stryker and gains few memories of his past, so he wants to go with him, but is stopped by Bobby, Rogue and John, causing Wolverine to "return" to Earth. Logan and the others escape in Scott's car to a safe house in Boston, at Bobby Drake's house. At the house when his parents arrive they learn for the first time that Bobby is a mutant. Bobby's brother would call the police, so Logan and the others are forced to leave. Logan is shot in the head, taking a while to regenerate and get back up, only to then see most of the police cars destroyed by John. Wolverine4 They are saved by Storm and Jean from the police, but are then pursued by fighter planes, which fire missiles at them and cause them to nearly crash in the woods, but are saved by Magneto and Mystique. The X-Men team up with the Brotherhood to find Stryker and stop him from killing all mutants in the world using Dark Brain. Logan and Jean have an intimate moment, but it is rejected by Jean because she couldn't do that to Scott. Later, Mystique tries to seduce Wolverine, but her previous scars from their last battle give her away, and she is rejected by Logan. Learning from Nightcrawler's mind the location of Stryker's base, they take the Jet X to Alkali Lake.
They send Mystique to the underground base and get the plans, as Logan goes after Stryker. On his way, he eventually runs into him in the room where he was created. Stryker claims that he thought Wolverine was unique, but that he was wrong, and proceeds to introduce him to his assistant Yuriko Oyama, who was a copy of Wolverine's Weapon X. Logan faces Lady Deathstrike (Yuriko) and defeats her by injecting her with adamantium, which solidifies inside her body. Wolverine then runs into Stryker again and digs his claws into him, interrogating him, and not knowing what he wanted, Logan leaves him chained to a helicopter. As the dam is about to break, Wolverine helps the X-Men get out of the base to Jet X. At the latter, he has one last conversation with Stryker, saying that even a child was more trustworthy than him (Stryker). Unfortunately, Jean Grey had to sacrifice herself so that the others could survive the water of the Alkali Lake dam. A few days after Jean's death, Wolverine attempts to comfort Cyclops, but it doesn't work. After training in the Danger Room, they are visited by Dr. Henry McCoy (a former student of Xavier) and discover the existence of a "Cure" for the mutation created by Worthington Labs. That same day, the Professor senses the Phoenix's power breaking out and sends Wolverine and Storm to investigate at Alkali Lake. There they find everything destroyed, Scott's glasses floating and a comatose Jean Grey. Jean is brought by Logan and Storm to the X-Mansion, where they are told by Professor X about Jean's destructive second personality, called the Phoenix. Wolverine blames the Professor for limiting Jean's power all this time, but understands why he did it. When Jean awakens, Logan greets her, but is attacked by the Phoenix and Jean escapes to her house.
The Professor, Storm, and Wolverine go to Jean's house, where the Brotherhood of Mutants are trying to recruit her because she is in critical times. The Professor and Magneto enter the house alone, but when paranormal events occur there, Wolverine tries to enter, but is attacked by Juggernaut. Logan defeats Juggernaut and witnesses with his own eyes the death of Professor Xavier. After this event, Logan listens to Storm's speech at the Professor's funeral, and now determined to find Jean, Logan finds the Brotherhood in their secret base in the woods, fighting Spike and other mutants to get inside. Wolverine sees that Jean joined the Brotherhood and is being used by Magneto, and when he tried to approach her he was stopped by the latter who grabbed him due to his adamantium skeleton and threw him away from his lair. Upon returning to the X-Mansion, Wolverine tells Storm of Magneto's plans and they suit up. Logan asks if everyone is ready, but is asked by Storm if he was ready to do whatever he had to do at the moment. Wolverine and Jean The X-Men go to Alcatraz Island and confront the Brotherhood. During the battle, Wolverine distracts Magneto so that Beast can inject him with the "cure". With only Jean left, the Phoenix breaks loose and destroys Worthington Labs. Jean attempts to gain control and asks Wolverine to kill her, which he eventually does, thus ending the Brotherhood and Jean.
