Appearance

Although Ace and Luffy are not related by blood, Ace is very similar in appearance to Luffy. However, Ace is more serious, and is also slightly taller and more muscular than Luffy. Interestingly, his facial expressions were very reminiscent of Roger's when he was younger. Ace's tattoos were one of the most notable features of his appearance. On his back was the symbol of the Whitebeard Pirates - purple bones in the shape of a cross, against which was a purple skull with a white mustache, which Ace was very proud of.[17] On his left bicep, he wore a second tattoo: "ASCE" with an S crossed out. The S was reminiscent of the one Sabo used in his letter to Ace and Luffy. It also resembles the one that was present on Sabo's flag. Ace wore a shirt until he got Whitebeard's tattoo - after which he chose not to cover it with anything. The only exception was the clothing for the Winter Islands. He wore black boots, knee-length shorts with a spiked belt, and a blue sheath wrapped around his left leg. He also wore a second, short belt with a large "A" on a silver plaque, but it was not fastened. On his left hip hung a dagger in a green sheath. He wore a Log Pose on his left arm, a red and white bracelet and elbow pad, and an "ASCE" tattoo. He wore an orange hat with two strings hanging from it, with two "Jolly Rogers" (one happy and one sad) that reached to his chest, connected by a large medallion in the shape of a bull's skull, under the medallion hung an orange tassel, and around his neck he wore red beads . Ace began wearing the hat at the very beginning of his journey, but lost it on Banaro Island during the battle with Blackbeard. His knife was confiscated upon arrest and was no longer one of his attributes back in Impel Down. Whitebeard's tattoo, which he was so proud of, was destroyed by the same blow that killed him. However, Ace's tombstone included both a hat and a knife. Either they were found or similar-looking copies were made.

Character 1

Compared to Luffy, Ace was much easier to bear, more educated and polite, which made Luffy's crew wonder if they were actually brothers. While those who knew Roger noted how Luffy resembled the Pirate King, Whitebeard declared that Ace's personality did not remind him of Roger. It seems that among the few things that the brothers shared among themselves was unacceptable recklessness and gluttony (an endless appetite). However, like his brother, Ace also loved to go wild. Having become interested in Buggy's ship because of the smell of food, Ace decided not to waste time and treat himself. There were two jokes about Ace. The first joke was his progressive narcolepsy; he could suddenly fall asleep while eating or talking, thereby making others think that he had died. This was first shown in Alabasta, where others thought he died while he was eating. The second joke was his tendency to run away from the establishment without paying for the food.

Character 2

As Roger's son, Ace always lived in his shadow and was the first of the D's to question his right to exist, while at the same time being the least like any of the D's, Ace could never come to terms with the fact that he Roger was the father, even after his condemnation and Whitebeard's acceptance as his new father. This was in direct contrast to Monkey D. Luffy, who immediately took on his father's identity after learning who he was and didn't seem to care how dangerous a man his father was. However, Luffy was unaware of his father, not even his existence, since birth. Ace believed that his death would have been completely natural, because no one wanted to see the son of the devil (Roger) alive. Before his death, Ace said that he was never looking for fame or fortune - he only wanted to know if he should have been born in the first place, and the answer to that question, as well as having a younger brother to look after, were the only things that mattered. for whom he did not want to die. He lived his life "without regrets", as he and Luffy promised each other. The only thing he regretted before he died was that he never got to see Luffy's dream come true, which Ace undoubtedly believed in since Luffy was his little brother.

Character 3

Ace had a tendency to never shy away from a fight and explained this by saying that he would never run away from an enemy, which once made people think that Ace was a killer, but in reality he just didn't want those he cared about to get hurt. Dadan stated that he inherited this trait from his father, Roger, even though he hated him. From time to time, he has defeated enemies he was told to stay away from, such as Porchmee and Bluejam, and has suffered on several occasions, such as against Blackbeard and Akainu. Ace could just as easily use violence against those who insulted people close to him. In Garp's conversation with Dadan, it was revealed that this also applied to Roger. As a child, Ace brutally maimed those who insulted his father. When Akainu insulted Whitebeard, Ace instantly forgot about escaping and decided to fight Akainu despite his team members telling him not to get angry because of the Admiral's words. Ace, who was greatly hurt by Akainu's words, attacked the Admiral in anger, which ultimately led to his death.

Ability 1

Ace was the commander of the second division of the Whitebeard Pirates. Accordingly, he was one of the most powerful pirates under Whitebeard's banner. Aside from the powers granted to him by his Devil Fruit, Ace also possessed immense physical strength. Signs of his great physical potential were evident early on when, as a child, he defeated several gangs who spoke ill of his father. Ace was very strong when he left his hometown (going to sea). Luffy said that he had never defeated Ace before, despite having the power of the Gomu Gomu no Mi (Ace received the power of the Mera Mera no Mi after going to sea). Ace was trained by Garp, who hoped to turn him into a superior Marine. Ace demonstrated his strength during his fight with Marshall D. Teach - he withstood blows from Blackbeard that nearly killed him, and was even able to counterattack. Ace had a formidable reputation. He received an invitation to join the Shichibukai while he was still captain of the Spade Pirates, although he refused the offer. After he joined Whitebeard, civilians were seen making comments about how Ace's powers were supposedly "the only ones in this world". The World Government granted Blackbeard the position of Shichibukai after he successfully defeated and captured Ace. He has fought on par with Jinbe in the past. They nearly killed each other in a fight that lasted for five days, and then Ace survived his battle with Whitebeard, which took place immediately after his battle with Jinbe. He was one of the few people who was able to be "baptized" in the boiling water of Impel Down prison without blinking an eye, which is considered an impressive achievement.

Ability 2

Ace ate the Mera Mera no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit, which gives him fire powers and is what earned him his nickname "Fire Fist Ace". Ace also shows his strength by destroying several Baroque Works ships without much difficulty. Ace didn't seem to care about his inability to swim in water. He crossed the seas alone in a boat that seemed specially designed for him, powered by fire. He skillfully sent his boat underwater as he jumped over Billiards' fleet, timing it so that it appeared directly below him. Additionally, when he appeared on Drum Island, it didn't snow on the entire island for a whole day, due to his Mera Mera no Mi abilities. Although not depicted in the main storyline, in a flashback from ten years ago, it was revealed that Ace had the inherent ability to wield Haki uncontrollably, much like Luffy does. Whether he managed to imprison it in adulthood or not is unknown. Ace's Haki level is unknown, although it has been hinted that Ace possessed Haki. Additionally, in the flashback, when Luffy was in danger, Ace screamed and the attacking members of the Bluejam pirate crew were covered in a mental wave, this ability caused people with weak will to fall. This is a clear trait of Royal Haki. Ace carried a knife with him, but it was never shown in action. However, in flashbacks, Ace was shown to use various weapons, including an axe, in his attempts to kill Whitebeard. As shown in Luffy's flashbacks, Ace used long lead pipes as a child. In particular, in flashbacks he was shown with a long, bloody stick.
