personality

All For One is a megalomaniac and a convenient psychopath. Insights into his personality were given to Izuku Midoriya by his brother in a dream. While All For One used his powers to help people, it was done with ulterior motives and asked for his help in exchange for his support and loyalty. Those who resisted his will were purged. Aware of the strife between civilians and Quirk users, All For One encouraged him to acquire more Quirks and sympathizers. All For One committed all of these crimes, claiming that he was bringing order to the world. All For One cared for his younger brother, albeit in a condescending manner. He believes that without power one cannot enforce their ideals and does not believe in justice or morality, claiming that they do not conform to reality. All For One was so attached to his power and status that he despises All Might for taking it away from him. Perhaps due to his confidence and immense power, he has a calm and condescending demeanor, confident even when frustrated. All For One prefers to use forceful actions rather than emotional words. So far he has always been seen smiling, outside of that he has never shown any other expression on his face even after being defeated and locked away in Tartarus.

He has also been shown to be very sarcastic and enjoys making fun of those he finds weak and pathetic, as well as having a twisted sense of humor. He greatly enjoyed insulting Nana Shimura by saying that she was pitiful and that he himself killed her while she was fighting for her ideals. In his conversation with All Might in Tartarus he was very amused to see him retired and found it ironic that he, who spent decades being the number one hero and the Symbol of Peace, asked him why he held on to his power so much and forced his body to survive beyond the human limit. In the war, when they were in that subconscious world and he met Nana Shimura again he simply mocked her by saying sarcastically that he was "scared" to see a dead person. He also mocked Izuku Midoriya by saying that he was not worthy of being the wielder of One For All as he found him too weak and that it was a mistake for him to inherit that Quirk. All For One believes that his protégé, Tomura Shigaraki, has the ideal qualifications to succeed him and continue his legacy. However, All For One is aware of Tomura's general immaturity and tries to teach him how to grow as a villain, although unlike All Might, his teaching methods are indirect. He speaks kindly to Tomura and encourages him when he fails.

All For One was shown to be quite impatient, as he wanted to get rid of the Pro Heroes and Police Force attacking the League of Villains as soon as possible. However, it is also possible that his body has a limit and he just wanted to do what he had to do before the limit was reached. All For One was shown to be quite self-absorbed and obsessed with his powers, as he himself stated that he cannot resist taking a Quirk once it piques his interest, much like a hoarder even if he never really had any real need for such a Quirk to begin with. He states that he wanted to return some Quirks to their rightful owners, but goes on to say that a Quirk should be used whenever possible and as soon as possible. He especially enjoyed being able to mix his different stolen Quirks together to create powerful combination attacks, and despite being enormously powerful even in his decayed state, he still wanted to stock up on multiple Quirks. The only person he has ever been shown to genuinely care for is his younger brother, to the point of feeling sorry for his delicate body and giving him a Quirk to empower him, though he also intended to make him join him.

Despite his power and authority, All For One is respectful towards his subordinates and associates, being generally polite rather than condescending, though this can be interpreted as a means to maintain his status. Despite the respect shown towards them, it is only so long as he can use them as he wishes, seeing them deep down as nothing more than tools to achieve his goals. Once they've served their purpose or he abandons them, All For One casts that respect aside and mocks them by belittling them, this shown with Lady Nagant whom he initially felt it was "a true honor" to meet when her mission to capture Izuku Midoriya failed, All For One mocked the former heroine as pathetic and pitiful, showing that he didn't truly expect her to live up to his expectations. He is a manipulator by nature, when he shows interest in someone he makes sure they submit to him using various methods. He is also very ambitious and selfish, not interested in the dreams or goals of others. Whenever he gives help to others it is always to obtain a personal benefit and to achieve his personal goal. Despite that, there are a select number of people in whom he has placed his trust and values ​​for their qualities. He admits to Dabi that he sees people as nothing more than disposable tools; if they fail him, he shrugs it off and moves on to the next alternative, although he is willing to sadistically enjoy when they get what they deserve, whether it be from him or someone else. Even if his followers fail him, All For One admits that it is worth seeing what entertainment they can bring before his downfall and will even tempt them to help him before seeing them suffer, showing his twisted willingness to play with people's lives while having a blatant disregard for what happens to them.

After being mortally wounded by All Might years ago, All For One's face appears to be made entirely of scar tissue, extending from above his upper lip and covering his entire head and the back of his neck. As such he has no visible nose, ears, hair, or eyes, though the outlines of his eye sockets can be seen. As a result of not having eyes, he is unable to see properly, but "sees" by using a Quirk of infrared vision and by sensing the directions of vibrations in the area around him, similar to echolocation. He has several tubes coming out of his neck and jaw, presumably to assist with his breathing. There are small holes in the palms of his hands. In flashbacks, he appears to have been an ordinary-looking man with short white hair. However, his face is not clearly shown. In later chapters he is shown to be a man with strong, imposing features, although his eyes are shaded. In another flashback his face is shaded, although one can make out his distinctive features; he appears to have light eyes and a cruel smile. He has worn a plain black suit in all of his appearances to date.

When All For One emerges from his secret hideout, he wears a navy blue, skull-shaped gas mask with angled tubes on top, a wide life support system around his neck with multiple tubes connecting the front and back. During the final battle, All For One wore a new costume and an upgraded version of his old mask. After shooting himself with a reverse-engineered Quirk-Destroying Drug bullet, All For One's face regenerated, regaining most of his face, his white hair, and his red eyes. As the damage inflicted on him continued to accumulate and put his Rewind effect into overdrive, All For One continued to physically regress in age; from his younger appearance, to that of a child who begins to emit a strange glow. The conclusion of the battle saw him eventually regress back to an infant, then a fetus, and then an egg before disappearing completely.

All For One (オール・フォー・ワン Ōru Fō Wan ?) (Duplicate)[2]: This Quirk allows him to steal other people's Quirks, rendering them Quirkless, take them as his own, or transfer them to other people. He can even combine his stolen Quirks to create new attacks with devastating effects. Shortly before the Kamino Incident, his Quirk was duplicated by Dr. Garaki and the original version was given to Tomura, while All For One kept the copied version. Even after giving his original Quirk to Tomura, All For One can still use it to override Tomura's will and control him as a secondary body, regardless of distance. All For One has stolen a wide variety of gifts
