Nathan has a terrible relationship with his parents (Jack and Maya) As his parents are bitter and cruel people who always treated him badly (Nathan grew up without love or attention) Nathan suffered physical and emotional abuse from his parents (Nathan hates talking about his parents or his family) Nathan swore that he would be the best father possible.
