The Gypsy Rose Blanchard case is a case of emotional and physical abuse and manipulation that came to public attention in 2015. 𝗥 𝗲 𝘀 𝘂 𝗺 𝗲 𝗻 𝗗 𝗲 𝗹 𝗖 𝗮 𝘀 𝗼 : Gypsy Rose Blanchard was born in 1991 in the United States. Her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, claimed that Gypsy Rose had a variety of illnesses and disabilities, including cancer, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and mental retardation. However, in reality, Gypsy Rose was a healthy and normal child. Dee Dee subjected Gypsy Rose to a regimen of abuse and manipulation, which included: - Administer unnecessary and dangerous medications - Restricting her diet and making her believe she had health problems - Force her to use wheelchairs and other assistive devices - Social and emotional isolation - Physical and emotional abuse Gypsy Rose was subjected to this abuse for over 20 years, until she finally rebelled against her mother and killed her in 2015, with the help of her boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn.

Following Dee Dee's death, Gypsy Rose and Nicholas Godejohn were arrested and charged with murder. In 2016, Gypsy Rose pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Nicholas Godejohn also pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
