Star Butterfly

Star Butterfly is a petite 15-year-old girl with a height of 5'2" (1.57 m). She has fair skin, light blue eyes and long blonde hair that goes down to her knees. Most of the time Star's bangs overlap her eyes and eyebrows, possibly due to how large her eyes are drawn. Her cheeks normally have rose pink heart emblems on them. Star is a very friendly and energetic girl who loves having fun and usually has an optimistic outlook on life. She loves to help others and whenever she sees that someone is upset, she does her best to cheer them up. Strangers, in her eyes, are just friends she has not met yet, and she feels bad if she hurts someone's feelings, whether intentionally or not. Star has a happy-go-lucky attitude and always tries to put a smile on everyone's faces. She also works very hard towards her goals, so much so that she will sometimes end up greatly sleep-deprived. Owing to her rather sheltered upbringing, Star's optimism and enthusiasm can border on recklessness, to the point of endangering the people around her with her madcap antics. She has rather simplistic views on concepts such as leadership and responsibility, believing that prioritizing fun above all else matters the most. All this, coupled with her lack of understanding of Earth customs, often puts her and Marco in strange, dangerous situations. While rarely ever angry, she does express annoyance towards people who do not take her seriously or give her the attention she wants. Although she treats her friends kindly and rarely holds grudges against them, she is usually brutal towards her enemies.

Marco Diaz

Marco is a Latino-American teenager of medium height with a slender build, tan skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a mole on his right cheek. He usually wears a light gray shirt, a red hoodie, dark gray skinny jeans, and olive and white sneakers. Marco is kind, responsible, very organized, and supportive of others. He has a reputation at his school for being the "safe kid" due to avoiding danger and being cautious, though he insists that he is a "misunderstood bad boy" and lives for danger. He prefers keeping his possessions neatly organized. Marco is smart, gets good grades in his math and psychology classes. Because he likes it when things go his way, he can become unstable when they don't. Although he isn't used to the kind of craziness that Star brings, he admits that he would like a little danger in his life and finds fun in fighting monsters with karate. He often struggles with self-confidence, afraid of being ridiculed by others, and can become nervous easily. He has many insecurities and emotional hang-ups. He has an occasional temper and can get frustrated and/or annoyed with others, such as with Star when she intrudes upon his life, or recklessly drags him into overly dangerous situations. However, he soon makes amends with those who cause him grief. He cares deeply for those he is close to, also having the urge to occasionally protect Star and keep her safe

Jackie Lynn Thomas

Jackie Lynn Thomas is a student at Echo Creek Academy. Jackie has wavy, shoulder-length platinum blond hair (which hides her ears) with an aqua streak on the left side, tan skin, mint green eyes, and freckles. She is of medium height and has a slim, curvy body. She wears a green and white raglan shirt, an orange seashell necklace, cyan jean shorts, green and white knee socks, and blue and white sneakers. Her eyes are typically half-closed, but, like Star, when they are completely opened they overlap her bangs. Jackie is a laid-back and kind girl who is shown to enjoy and have a talent for skateboarding. She is shown to like weird things. She does not get angry easily and at most is only mildly disappointed when something does not sit well with her. It is implied, at times, that she can be something of a trouble maker. While not malicious, she will get into trouble if the situation is presented to her in an enticing way. She is also shown to be very understanding and forgiving of others and is also observant.

Janna Ordonia

Janna Ordonia is a friend of Star and Marco's and a student at Echo Creek Academy who shows an interest in macabre subjects, the occult, and other things of paranormal origin, and she is often portrayed as mischievous, usually at Marco's expense. Janna has short dark-blue hair and brown eyes. She usually appears wearing an olive green shirt, a turquoise jacket, a yellow skirt, brown boots, and an olive green beanie hat. She is Filipina-American. Janna has been shown to be somewhat of a troublemaker. She also has a liking for macabre thing. Janna also shows herself to be very strategic when cutting class with Star. Additionally, Janna can be irresponsible and inattentive.

Heckapoo

Hekapoo the Scissors Enforcer is the forger of all dimensional scissors and a member of the Magic High Commission. Hekapoo has pale white skin, spiked arms, long red hair (tied back in a black spiky hair tie) with bangs that cover her right eye, orange eyes, fangs, pointed ears, and jagged yellow-orange horns. She primarily wears a yellow-orange ballgown, brown high-heeled boots, and a black tiara. A small orange flame constantly burns over her head. Hekapoo is normally laid-back and something of a trickster toward beings she considers to be lesser than herself. As the creator of dimensional scissors, however, she takes her job very seriously and becomes deeply offended when someone steals or abuses them. She also comes off as the most authoritative member of the High Commission, constantly disciplining the immature and rash Rhombulus. Despite this seriousness, she tends to have numerous quirks, such as being irresistibly attracted to masculine men and talking casually and jokingly with people close to her. She can also be somewhat cowardly, preferring to hide from threats.
