Red. The Scientist is a psychopath and sociopath who is cruel, manipulative, abusive, intelligent, and sadistic, as he shows no empathy towards the player. He is by far the smartest of the Rainbow Friends and the only one who actually speaks. He is a skilled manipulator and liar; after he directs the player to restore power to the facility on Night 4, he tells them to stay at the facility for a farewell party for one more night instead of letting them go immediately, putting them in even more danger. Little is known about the Scientist's past, although it is possible that he worked at the facility as a scientist. He may also have been responsible for the creation of the Rainbow Friends. It is speculated that the Scientist was Trenton, and Oswald D. Davis turned Trenton into the Scientist, this theory has been debunked and confirmed to be untrue, as shown in Rainbow Friends Chapter 2, where it was shown that there was a technician who looks much more like Trenton than the Scientist. Unlike the other Rainbow Friends, his body is similar to that of a Robloxian. He wears a lab coat over a black business suit, a red tank top, a black tie, and black gloves. It is unknown whether he is a monster or a human in disguise. Blue is a large, blue, humanoid monster with a yellow crown on his head. He always appears to be drooling, and has only one black eye, with the other being replaced by a button (though a picture shows that he used to have both eyes). He is also a hunchback, though he apparently was not in the past. Blue is one of the six different Rainbow Friends that appear in the Roblox horror game of the same name, serving as the secondary antagonist of the game. He was originally the mascot of an old company from the 1990s until it was abandoned for unknown reasons. Eventually, Blue went feral and now roams the facility as a mindless creature, acting as one of the Scientist's main henchmen and attacking anyone he sees. Of all the Rainbow Friends, Blue seems to be the least intelligent of the friends, easily fooled by boxes even when the player moves underneath them (though he won't be fooled if he sees them hiding). Judging by the sign, Blue seems to enjoy eating. He also doesn't seem to like being woken up. Despite Blue being a murderous creature, he apparently wasn't always that way, as evidenced by him having been friends with someone in the past.

Green, like the other Rainbow Friends, is a deadly monster. However, due to his blindness, he is forced to rely on his senses, such as hearing and touch. He can sometimes be seen feeling and wrapping his hands around random objects in the facility. However, like Blue, Green was not always a murderous creature. Green is a large, skinny monster that somewhat resembles an inflatable tube man. Green has large, short legs. He has long, wavy arms with three fingers on each end and bulging eyes on his head. Green is a minor antagonist in the Roblox horror game Rainbow Friends, serving as the secondary antagonist of Chapter 1 and the main antagonist of Chapter 2. Like his namesake, he is a tall, green, and lanky Rainbow Friend who is blind and relies on his other senses to detect players.

Orange is apparently the most violent of the Rainbow Friends: he gets angry if he is not fed in Orange's Cave, and in such cases runs around the place, attacking everything in his path. That being said, he doesn't pose much of a threat if you feed him. If he gets food, he'll be happy and won't chase you, which sometimes makes him the least dangerous of the Rainbow Friends. Orange is a small Baryonyx. He has two bulging eyes with black slit pupils and two rows of sharp teeth. He has stick-like limbs with three claws at the ends and a small tail.

Violet. Judging by the way they move through the vents, almost completely hiding their body, it is possible that Purple has a shy nature. Other than that, there is nothing special about them except their murderous nature. In an old group photo, it is seen that Purple always preferred to stay in the vents. However, it can be expected that he, along with the other Rainbow Friends, did not attack people back then. Purple has large cartoon eyes, a round head, and purple stretchable arms. Their jumpscare shows that they have sharp teeth. Their full appearance on official merchandise shows them to have a slender body with four long limbs with hand-like appendages and a flat face that hides the mouth, which explains how their face fits over the vent yet remains hidden.
