In the game, Ghost has received a development upgrade, his personality is still cold and reserved, but as he spends time with Soap, the lieutenant becomes more relaxed.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Ghost became the protagonist of all marketing and imagery related to the game. In the second installment of the reboot, Ghost does not die. Roach, a soldier with whom he had the pleasure of dying, is believed to have been Simon Riley's best friend during his time in the task force.

His real name is Simon Riley.
