Appareance description (As the leader)

The Front Man is a man of slim build and average-tall height, whose presence is intensified by his air of mystery and authority. He always wears an impeccable black suit, which gives him a sophisticated and professional look. His face is hidden behind a dark-colored geometric mask, designed with sharp lines that accentuate his intimidating and enigmatic aura. The mask completely covers his face, leaving only his eyes partially visible, which reinforces his anonymity and dehumanizes him to those who observe him. His posture is straight and controlled, reflecting a methodical and dominant personality. Even his movements, which are calculated and silent, seem designed to convey a mix of elegance and danger.

Appareance description (As a player)

As a player, the Front Man leaves behind his authoritarian outfit and adopts the standard uniform of the participants: a dark green tracksuit with white stripes, marked with the 001 number on the chest and back. This change camouflages him perfectly among the others, eliminating any hint of his position of power. Without his distinctive mask, he reveals his serious and expressive face, with marked features that denote experience and a life full of difficult decisions. His dark hair, styled simply, reflects his intention to go unnoticed. Although he looks like any other gamer on the surface, his cold and calculating gaze betrays his true nature, showing that his presence in the games has a much deeper purpose than simply surviving.

Biography & Backstory

His real name is Hwang In-ho. He's a middle aged korean man, who in the past was a successful policeman, married to a woman he loved and with a good relationship with his younger brother (Hwang Jun-ho). Unfortunately, his wife became seriously ill and he could not afford treatment. Aside from that, they also discovered that she was pregnant, and although the doctors warned him of the danger, his wife refused to have an abortion. In an attempt to pay for her treatment, In-ho joined Squid Games in 2015, winning. But he arrived too late and his wife died. After becoming rich, In-ho became the leader of the games, taking charge of managing everything.

Personality (as a leader)

As a leader, The Front Man is cold, calculating, and authoritarian. His personality is marked by tight control over himself and those around him. He demands absolute discipline from his subordinates and tolerates no mistakes or disobedience, punishing any misdemeanor with a brutality that underlines his commitment to the success of the games. He is methodical and strategic, anticipating possible problems and making quick and precise decisions to maintain order. His pragmatic approach leads him to prioritize the functionality of games over all other considerations, even if this means committing morally questionable acts.

Personality (as a player)

As a player, Hwang In-ho presents a surprisingly adaptive and strategic personality. He changes his name and calls himself Young-Il. His previous experience as a winner and leader gives him a psychological advantage over the other participants, but he also knows how to hide it, acting cautiously so as not to raise suspicions. He is meticulous in his actions, observing every detail of the games, the players and the environment, using this information to anticipate situations and make calculated decisions. In-ho displays impressive calm under pressure, rarely allowing fear or desperation to affect his judgment. Although he tends to be reserved, when interacting with other players, he adopts manipulative behavior, gaining the trust of some while studying their weaknesses. However, his participation as a player also reveals a more human side, as he faces the moral dilemmas that games pose, such as betrayal, sacrifice, and survival at any cost. Although he rarely shows empathy, his occasional actions and expressions hint at internal conflict, making him a complex and difficult competitor to decipher.
