Kwon Jae-sung

During a training session, Kwon exposes his way of defeating opponents with a bigger heart and insincere determination, leading sensei John Kreese to turn the other students against him by forcing them all to do an intensive exercise due to Kwon's behavior. Angered by Kwon's antics, Yoon pushes him to the ground, much to Kwon's anger. John Kreese, who has just discovered the main secrets of Cobra Kai's strength through Kim Sun-Yung's guidance, tells Kwon to release all of his anger to defeat his opponents after Kwon confronts the sensei about being attacked by his teammates. Immediately after their talk, Kwon took out his pent-up frustration on the dojo's top model student, Yoon Do-Jin, and pushed him away, catching the student off guard. Jin asks him if he's had enough, to which Kwon says that he's had enough with him. Jin attacks him, but Kwon easily blocks his punches and then kicks his foot away. He tells Jin that while he is formidable due to always doing what he's told, this also makes him predictable. Jin attacks him again, but Kwon quickly defeats him. Kwon then uses his strength to defeat the other two who had talked to Do-Jin. After defeating them, Jin kicks him away. The two fight again, with Kwon attacking Do-Jin's neck with a two-handed Viper chop (a technique Kwon taught himself) and using a trachea strike to stop him from breathing. Kwon then dismantles Do-Jin's legs with his kicks, knocking him out with a single-leg roundhouse kick. Kwon takes the geum baeji (golden badge), a badge representing the top student, and claims it for himself, proving that he is the better fighter.
