Appearance SanzuToman Sanzu in ToMan's Uniform Sanzu is a young man with long, straight hair that is pink (although in the anime his hair color is white), his blue eyes are slightly drooping and he has long eyelashes, being very similar to his sister Senju Akashi. SANZU BONTEN-removebg-preview Sanzu in Bonten As an adult, Sanzu has a mullet hairstyle with a longer back part that reaches down to his shoulders. His style of dress has become more elegant over time, wearing a formal blue-violet suit with a black tie with red stripes and no longer wearing his black face mask, which he stopped wearing after killing Muto. He also has a Bonten tattoo that can be seen on his right forearm. In his youth, he has short hair combed to one side and gelled back on the other side. He never wore a mask until he met Yasuhiro Muto. As for his piercings, he is seen wearing them only on his right ear.

Personality As a teenager, Haruchiyo appeared to have a quiet demeanor and rarely spoke. He was extremely loyal to his superiors and much kinder to those he followed and doted on. However, he is later revealed to be extremely manipulative and is exceptionally good at tricking other people, an example of this being when he tricked Muto into being an "only child"; it is later revealed that he has a brother and a sister. In his youth, before meeting Yasuhiro Muto, he was described as a very troubled boy who could not be controlled, which made it very difficult for other divisions of the gang to handle him, so Mikey left him in the care of Muto, since he believed that the latter could control him. As an adult, Haruchiyo appears to be more outgoing, flamboyant, direct, and loud. He is ruthless and displays psychopathic tendencies. He has also been seen taking drugs, which could be the main reason for his change in behavior, although there is a possibility that this is his "true" personality that was triggered by the drugs he took. One of Haruchiyo's most notable traits is his great idolization of Mikey, believing him to be his "king" (similar to the King of Chess), and therefore deserving of the utmost respect, loyalty, and devotion. He will follow his "king's" orders no matter what they are and will put Mikey above all others, mercilessly killing anyone who thinks of betraying him. A good example of the latter would be the case of Muto, whom he approached after he was released from detention with the sole purpose of tricking him into following him to a secluded location so he could kill him for betraying Toman, and thus his "king", in the past.

In the vein of "Bonten", he takes sadistic pleasure and noticeable euphoria in executing "traitors" while loudly declaring that he is fulfilling Mikey's will. Upon meeting Takemichi, Haruchiyo ordered him to shut up because the "king" was going to speak, and threatened to shoot him when Takemichi casually spoke to Mikey, believing it to be disrespectful on his part.

Skills Fighting skills Haruchiyo was strong enough to be named Tokyo Manji's vice-captain and Bonten's number 2. In addition, we have also been able to see him using weapons; a pistol and a katana. He appears to be very skilled in using his katana as he was able to kill Muto with a single blow, indicating that he may have trained with it for some time. He is also good at fighting barehanded, being that he is someone who is somewhat wild, as seen in the Valhalla Arc consecutively and relentlessly beating a member of said gang. Handling Haruchiyo may seem like a calm and trustworthy person, but in reality he is very manipulative. He was able to smoothly manipulate Muto for a long time and killed him after he betrayed his "king" Manjiro Sano, and long suspected Muto's possible betrayal.

Curiosities The name Haruchiyo means "spring" (春) (haru) and "a thousand generations/worlds" (千夜) (chiyo) The surname Akashi (alias) means "brilliant" (明) and "presiding" (司) (shi) The mask he is often seen wearing was given to him by Yasuhiro Muto to cover his scars. I stopped using said mask after killing .muto Haruchiyo Sanzu 「三途・春千夜, Sanzu Haruchiyo」, real name Haruchiyo Akashi 「明司・春千夜, Akashi Haruchiyo」, is the former vice-captain of the Tokyo Manji's fifth division. He is currently a member of the Kanto Manji. In an alternate timeline, he becomes Bonten's number 2.
