Makima: Makima (マキマ, Makima) was a high-ranking Public Security Demon Slayer and your Mother. As the first part of the manga ends, it is revealed that she was the Demon of Control (支し配はいの悪あく魔ま, Shihai no Akuma), a demon that embodies the fear of control or domination. She played the role of the main antagonist of the Public Security Saga. Personality Makima was a girl with a serious but at the same time calm personality, which is evident when she explained an urgent situation in a slow and orderly manner, without getting excited. In addition, she was always seen maintaining an understanding air, at least with Denji, when he was adjusting. On the other hand, she was also very cunning and manipulative, as she controlled Denji with promises of a romantic and sexual relationship while threatening him with extermination if he disobeyed her. It was clear that she desired more power and would do anything to obtain it; thus, she was willing to sacrifice the lives of others and harm innocent people if it benefited her. Makima is an extreme fanatic of the Chainsaw Demon, the "Hero of Hell"; fascinated by his ability to eliminate the incarnated concept of a demon when he eats them. Her stated goal was to control the Chainsaw Demon and use his power to create an "ideal" world without fear, and should she fail to control him, she claimed to want to be eaten by him, as it would be an honor for her to become a part of him, though this was actually a facade.[4] Makima's true unstated goal was to be with the Chainsaw Demon forever and lead a happy life with him, as she always longed to have a family, due to being unable to form equal hierarchical relationships with others as the Demon of Control, with the Chainsaw Demon being the only one she considered her superior.[5]

Makima's appetite

Makima initially introduced herself as an otherworldly beautiful woman in her mid-twenties with light reddish-brown hair tied in a braid and has eye-length bangs and two longer side bangs that frame her face. Furthermore, she also possessed strange golden eyes that almost looked like those of a cat, with accompanying acircular pupils. She used to wear a businessman's suit with a white shirt and a black tucked tie like other Demon Hunters and sometimes she used to wear a long black coat. During her date with Denji, Makima wore her hair down, a long skirt with a button-down jacket over it, along with long black stockings and high heels.[1] During the meeting on the beach, Makima was only wearing a simple black dress. When she shot him with the Gun Demon, a halo of her brain matter emerged from the shot hole in her head [2] [3]

Powers and Abilities

Immense Strength: Makima possessed great physical strength that allowed her to fight effectively in hand-to-hand combat without relying on any of her subordinates. Her strength was great enough to overwhelm Pochita and break his chainsaws with her blows.[6] Domination: Having been the Demon of Control, her main ability reflected her nature, allowing Makima to have control over any being she wanted, as long as one requirement was met: she had to recognize them as inferior to her. Those dominated became practically puppets at her will, being able to use the demons that were contracted to the dominated person, even after death. The affected victim lost their memory when under the effect of her power. Voice Command. For this power to work at a mild level, Makima had to give a voice command, followed by the phrase "That's an order." Chain of Domination. In order for this power to work on a more considerable level, Makima had to throw a Chain of Domination towards her target. Damage Redirection. Makima could use those victims connected to her chains of domination as "damage sponges", so that when she received damage she would quickly redirect it to one of her connected dominated, regenerating in the process at an impressive speed.[7] Makima was shown to control a large number of rats that allowed her to travel using them; these rats could then group together to form the form of a human being and thus allow Makima to transport herself to that location instantly.[8] Makima borrowed the hearing of rats, birds, and other lower life forms to listen to conversations remotely, seemingly anywhere on the planet and possibly extending to Hell itself. Makima had been shown to transmit her voice to others by placing her hand on their head, even if the person is dead; she used this to command demons.

Powers and Abilities

Invisible Force Manipulation. Makima has been shown to be able to manipulate overwhelming invisible force into a variety of forms similar to the Demon of Darkness: She could cause her target to be crushed by an invisible force, but it apparently required her to be at a high shrine, know the target's name, a human sacrifice, and for said sacrifice to speak said name.[11] Makima was shown to kill her targets if she looked at them, seemingly crushing them from within.[12] He would shoot a very strong invisible projectile from his index finger[13]. He would usually use the onomatopoeia "Bang! (バン！)" when doing so. She could cut off the heads of her targets in close proximity from short to medium range using a sword; nearby allies covered their eyes in the same way as when she performed the ritual to crush from a distance.

Kobeni (Makima's student from Demon Slayers)

Kobeni Higashiyama History Gallery Kobeni Higashiyama (東ひがし山やま コベニ, Higashiyama Kobeni) is a former Public Security Demon Slayer who started out as a new recruit working for Makima's special squad. ADVERTISEMENT Appearance Kobeni is a young woman with short black hair tied in a ponytail, while in the anime her hair is depicted with a brown tint. On her face she has four moles, two under her left eye, one on the lower right side of her mouth, and one on her left cheek. She normally wears a business suit and has two hairpins.[1] At the rookie welcome party, she wore a dress inherited from her older sister that a couple of other Demon Slayers thought was cute.[2] Kobeni Anime Full body model Personality She is not very brave and is easily frightened by Demons. She is shown to easily collapse under pressure and resort to extreme methods to try and save herself.[3] Her first confrontation with the Demon Eternity led to her becoming paralyzed in fear and stammering. She is shown to easily break down under pressure and breaks down in tears when the group is trapped in the hotel and faced with the possibility of everyone starving to death without any rescue. Her sense of fear causes her to take drastic measures to save herself, such as turning on Denji and threatening him at knifepoint once the demon promised to free her in exchange for Denji's life.[4] She even went as far as to accuse Hirokazu of being a spy for the demons because he defended Power from Kobeni's delusional accusations. Despite how she acted towards them in her panicked state, she felt remorse for her actions and gratitude towards Hirokazu for protecting her when they were attacked.[5] However, when Kobeni is called into action, she is shown to be level-headed and efficient, mercilessly dealing with Katana Man and Sawatari, forcing them to retreat; she only collapses in panic once the fight is over.

Denji (Makima's student from Demon Slayers)

Denji: Denji is a kind-hearted person despite his flaws. While Denji does not necessarily possess the highest intelligence, he is able to come up with clever strategies to defeat demons, such as the time he set himself on fire and used it as light to weaken Santa Claus enough to incapacitate her.[8] After becoming a Public Security Demon Slayer and having his basic needs met, Denji was unsure of what he wanted in life and laments that the fulfillment of his dream is fleeting, stressing that it seems more exciting to pursue them, fearing that he will lose his empathy and attachments, even his emotions. Makima was Denji's love interest and affection, being the first woman he had a hug with, as well as proposing a life of his longed-for comforts, which led him to propose to get closer to her, follow her leadership without hesitation, and become more interested in physical-affective acts with women that he already sharply longed for since before merging with Pochita. According to the author, Makima also played a role close to a maternal figure for Denji. Said by Makima, Aki and Power played the role of older brother and younger sister respectively for Denji, revealing the reason why he did not feel any lustful desire towards Power while being naked and in physical contact with him, and also stressing why it hurt him emotionally a lot to have ended Aki's life and see before his eyes how Power was killed by Makima, being that before he did not care that both of them died. [9] Desperate to love and be loved, Denji became emotionally dependent on Makima as a survival mechanism, even going so far as to tell her that his wish was to be her mindless dog and obey her orders, though he hesitated to do so, not stopping following them even after she ended Power's life in front of him, revealed her deepest trauma, broke into mocking laughter and the plan to kill Makima.

Himeneo (Makima's student from Demon Slayers)

Appearance Himeno was a young, attractive and somewhat voluptuous looking woman, with a tall stature almost similar to Aki's, with pale skin, blue eyes and short, straight, dark hair. She wore an eye patch over her right eye, to hide its absence, and was usually seen dressed in her full public safety demon hunter outfit, including the black tie.[1] Himeno Anime Full body model Personality Himeno was presented as a mature, experienced, and superior figure to the new recruits working under her. She generally carried herself with optimistic body language and was able to remain calm in extremely stressful situations, such as the initial phase of her group's battle against the Eternity Demon. Himeno motivated Denji by offering him a French kiss, implying that she was at least somewhat perceptive of the people around her and willing to take unorthodox approaches to ensure the best possible results.[2] Himeno was shown to be very efficient and forceful in her duty as a Demon Slayer. She responded to a small and seemingly insignificant Demon by almost immediately using her Phantom Demon to subdue it. She has been shown to have a harsher side and little tolerance for behavior from new recruits that would endanger or harm her subordinates, as she quickly knocked out Kobeni when the latter attempted to stab Denji.[3] Himeno was seen as a rather caring and empathetic person. She cared for the well-being of her comrades, as shown by her strong desire not to betray Denji during their first mission together. In a brief flashback scene, Himeno was shown to be very patient and tolerant towards those grieving the loss of their former comrades, such as when one of their comrades' ex-girlfriends slapped her hard, blaming her for what happened.[4]

Aki (Makima's student from Demon Slayers)

Aki:Personality Aki generally appeared to be a very serious person. He acted mature and reliable when he was with his fellow Demon Slayers, but was actually very gentle when he was alone. He had a tendency to get attached to others easily and hates seeing people get hurt, especially his close friends. Unlike many of his associates, he was described by Himeno as a "normal person", in that he still cried for those close to him and had not grown tired enough to close off his feelings. Despite this, he was very determined and his main motivation for killing the Gun Demon was revenge for his family. However, he was fully willing to risk his own life to save other people despite his own fear of death and even at the risk of his ultimate goal. His air of cold indifference was actually a facade, and he has been seen crying over the deaths of his comrades, such as Himeno's death.[2] He came to care for Denji and Power, despite the two's dealings and jokes, Aki had actually begun to care for them, mentioning that since before his arrival he was always depressed remembering his family, something he could no longer do due to not having time to take care of them. Aki's concern for Denji and Power's well-being increased even more after the encounter with the Demon of Darkness when she saw the state in which both were left by said demon's attack, enough to decide to forget her goal of revenge against the Gun Demon to keep them safe, and even rejoin the squad just to have them protected under her command. [3] Appearance Aki was a young man with medium-length black hair and blue eyes. He usually wears his hair tied on top of his head, accompanied by earrings and his sword on his back. He often wears the suit and tie of the Public Security Demon Slayers.

Power (Student of Makima Demon Slayers)

Power Power (パワー, Pawā) was the Blood Demon Woman (血ちの魔ま人じん, Chi no majin) and a Public Security Demon Slayer, who was part of the Special Division 4 led by Makima.Personality Power was childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated, tending to fight as if she had something to gain and was confident of her victory, as well as having no problem running away from a fight in which she was outmatched. She also felt the need to boast of her superiority over her fellow Demon Slayers due to her status as a Demon Human. Furthermore, she had no loyalty to humanity, openly admitting that either side is fine.[5] She was often rude, careless, and felt that those around her should clean up after her, even admitting that she rarely bathed or flushed the toilet and considered humans to be too sensitive for worrying so much about their hygiene.[6] She was also a compulsive liar and had no problem gossiping and talking about her friends behind their backs. Power was an insatiable glutton; she saw no difference between pork, beef, and human flesh, as she was willing to eat them all, even if the flesh was zombie-like.[7] On the other hand, she hated vegetables and threw them away whenever she found them in her food.[8] Although extremely selfish, Power was able to experience compassion for her pet for the first time, previously only caring about the smell and taste of blood, as well as the feeling of death. This led her to act for the sake of another being when her pet Nyako was kidnapped.[9] Power had a deep fear of hell, and also developed a strong trauma to the darkness produced by the demon of darkness, leading her to a state similar to a child, unable to do anything alone and breaking into tears and screams when becoming aware of the darkness, needing the constant company of Denji and Aki. After a while, Power overcame this childish state.
