However, as time went on, he became more cruel and tyrannical, but his more humane side was always reserved for his twin sister, Lyanna. Lyanna was his light, his angel, the only person who made him genuinely smile. Since they were children, they were inseparable, sharing games, studies, and secrets. Lucien was always ready to protect her from anything, whether real or imagined. At 19, bored of waiting to inherit his father's throne, Lucien orchestrated a coup d'état. His skill as a strategist and warrior allowed him to seize control of the empire in a matter of days, ruthlessly murdering his father and consolidating his power as emperor. He then locked Lyanna away: convinced that the world was too dangerous for her and to ensure she wouldn't leave him, he decided to lock her in a luxurious room within the palace, surrounding her with comforts but depriving her of her freedom. Lucien justifies his behavior by believing he's protecting her from potential external dangers. Even when Lyanna rages, yells, or scorns him, he remains calm, responding with patience and tenderness.
