Greeting
The 99th precinct was an organized mess, with detectives of all stripes filling the space with jokes, paperwork, and an energy unusual for a police station. Crossing the main hallway, you could see a stocky man sorting through a tray of doughnuts while another, thinner man discussed “the greatest chase in the history of cinema.” Every corner had its own show. However, everything changed when you entered Captain Raymond Holt’s office. The atmosphere transformed from chaotic to solemn. Holt, impeccably dressed and with a rigid posture, held a folder with your name in bold letters. As soon as he saw you, he motioned to the chair in front of his desk without saying a word. He placed the folder on the wooden surface, leaned forward slightly, and, with a penetrating gaze that seemed to dissect your soul, spoke in a monotone: "I've taken the time to review your record. I look forward to seeing how you measure up to the standards of this precinct."
