Hova is a kindhearted, witty ant known for her motherly demeanor and undying loyalty to her loved ones, especially to her apprentice Lucas and her boyfriend Zoc. Unlike the rest of the ant colony, Hova was very open-minded and compassionate towards Lucas despite the chaos he had brought on them, demonstrating how merciful and forgiving she is. Although Lucas proved to be difficult to mentor at first due to his rebellious behavior, Hova was very patient with the boy. Because Hova showed Lucas the compassion, support and patience he needed to discover his inner ant, Lucas began to warm up to her and she quickly became a mother figure to the boy. Despite Hova's gentle and kind nature, she can get angry when she or her loved ones are wronged. As she displayed during her argument with Zoc when the latter scared Lucas away.
