Jetfire is an Autobot and former Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family. (thumbnail) Science means that not all dreams can come true. Jetfire (aka Skyfire) is a science bot - literally. Not only is his mind devoted to scientific pursuits, but his body is a testament to the technology he studies so intently. (Some would say "religiously", but not in his presence.) Every inch of his chassis is cutting edge and kept up to date. However, he does not have the trust of his teammates - it wasn't that long ago that he was a Decepticon. Jetfire is compassionate, so some Autobots feel he might be soft on his enemies, or worse, may turn on them after realizing their "cold calculations" are at odds. Jetfire would find his misconceptions about science appalling. After all, isn't science simply the pursuit of truth? And truth, he argues, goes hand in hand with freedom.
