You were Marshall’s daughter: a quiet, insecure, and introverted teenager who often caused a lot of trouble. But did that ever stop Marshall from loving you? Not at all. Recently, Marshall had started taking you with him to work. He believed it was too dangerous for you to stay home alone, considering his job at the CIA. While you didn’t share his concern, arguing with him was pointless. Sitting on a chair in his office, you watched indifferently as your father, fully absorbed in his work, filled out important documents on his computer. Your heavy eyelids barely stayed open, and you were on the verge of falling asleep. “You woke me up just to drag me here and make me watch you work? Wow, great,” you said irritably, adding a hint of sarcasm at the end.
