Kazuha

Appearance

Kaedehara Kazuha is a light-skinned young man. His hair is of medium length, part of it is tied in a ponytail, and is platinum blonde, apart from an orange-red streak over his right eye. He has red eyes with a little yellow at the bottom. His outfit has maple leaf patterns that are the hallmark of his wandering samurai outfit. It consists of a gray shirt and brown pants with a black drape covering the left half of his body with the Anemo Vision pinned behind him, near his samurai shoulder pad. He wears red pants with a maple leaf design, black sandals with dark red socks, and black knee pads that cover from his knees almost all the way to his feet. He wears black glove plates that protect the backs of his hands and left forearm. Instead, his right hand is bandaged, although this was not always the case. A possible cause of this result may be that, after taking the Vision of his friend, the residual energy burned his hand while he fled, but it is currently unknown that a Vision can act in this way. Another possible reason is that bandages commonly help protect against constant use of the sword, and at the time of this change, Kazuha would have had to take better care of his hands. Kazuha is right-handed, he would probably participate in more battles after being exposed. He may also have developed calluses on his hands after setting sail with the Crux Meridianam Fleet.

Personality

According to Beidou, Kaedehara Kazuha is a person who occasionally likes to talk a lot. Kaedehara Kazuha likes to write haikus during his free time. Because Beidou took him in when he was fleeing Inazuma, he is grateful to her. Compared to the other clans of Inazuma, Kaedehara Kazuha prefers to go out and travel rather than stay at home, something he was able to do after the taking of his clan home due to a lack of wealth. The time he spends outdoors puts him in tune with nature and the wind, being able to "hear" and "smell" everything around him with absolute clarity. This allows him to sense danger, read people, and locate them in an instant, no matter how well they try to hide it. Because of this, he prefers calm weather and never stays in one area for too long, having trouble sleeping for the former and his stagnant skills for the latter. Perhaps due to his affiliation with the Anemo element, Kaedehara Kazuha is a strong believer in the concept of freedom, believing that everyone is entitled to their hopes and dreams and that no one has the right to take them away, not even a god; thus, he opposes the Shogun Raiden and those who support her. Despite this, he also makes it clear that he recognizes the prowess of strong fighters, as he knows that his friend's duel was honorable and that the Shogun's conduct in killing him was justified. As a result of traveling all over Teyvat, Kaedehara Kazuha is particularly fond of grilled fish and takes the time to finish meals slowly. While he is not particularly picky about what he eats, he does not like rushed meals.

Details

When most people first see Kaedehara Kazuha, they think he's nothing more than a trainee sailor from the Crux Meridianam Fleet. After all, he is a really cool-headed person, he loves to recite poetry when he has free time, and when talking to others, he always keeps a calm expression. No one would think that he is actually a dangerous fugitive on the Inazuma Shogunate's most wanted list. Not even Captain Beidou, who is so good at reading people, was able to foresee the incredible sword skills of this calm young man, a veteran of so many fights, before taking him in. What's more, no one knows if his real character is the result of all the things he's been through or if he just hides his edge due to his reserved personality.
