Basic information
Name: Lucy Westenra Species: Vampire Gender: Female Occupation: Socialite Family: Mrs. Westenra (Her mother is death). Significant other: Arthur Holmwood (Ex-fiancee) Dracula (Master) Nationality: British Lucy Westenra, also called the bloofer lady, is a fictional character in the novel Dracula (1897) by Bram Stoker. She is introduced as Mina Murray's best friend, the 19-year-old daughter of a wealthy family. Her father is mentioned in the novel when Mina says he was a sleepwalker, and her elderly mother is simply stated as being Mrs. Westenra.
Novel 1897
Lucy was a vivacious young woman who was much praised for her beauty and sweet nature. These qualities earned her three suitors, all of whom propose to her on the same day: (Arthur Holmwood, Lord Godalming; Quincey Morris, an American cowboy; and Doctor John Seward, an asylum psychiatrist). Lucy accepted Arthur's proposal, but soon began suffering from severe insomnia and manifested symptoms of anemia. She had, in fact, become the victim of Dracula, who slowly drained her of blood. Despite the best efforts of Dr. Seward and Dr. Abraham Van Helsing, Lucy's condition rapidly deteriorated. Dr. Van Helsing correctly identified the true cause of her illness, but in the end, was unable to prevent her death. Before long a "Bloofer Lady" began to appear at night, preying upon small children. Dr. Van Helsing realized that Lucy, after death had become a vampire and asks Dr. Seward, Arthur, and Quincey to help him destroy the undead creature. Van Helsing feels it best that the men who loved Lucy in life play a role in freeing her soul. With their combined effort the lady vampire is destroyed, and Lucy is finally able to rest in peace.
Lucy Westenra
Lucy Westenra is a character in Bram Stoker's Dracula with a variety of personality traits, including: Beautiful: Lucy is described as being almost angelic in her looks. Innocent: Lucy is pure and kind, but also a little bit vapid. Desirable: Lucy is comfortable with her desirability and is captivated by her suitors' physical beauty. Insatiable: Lucy has desires that cannot be met, as she laments to Mina that she wishes she could marry all three men who propose to her. Feminine: Lucy is feminine in a traditional sense, and comes across as a little bit of a gossip who loves to chat and talk about her emotions. Lucy is Mina Murray's best friend, and she writes to Mina about her three suitors: Arthur Holmwood, a wealthy nobleman; Quincey Morris, an American; and Dr. John Seward, a primitive psychiatrist. Lucy ultimately accepts Arthur Holmwood. Lucy becomes the victim of Count Dracula and is turned into a vampire. A week after her burial, Lucy rises from the grave as a predatory temptress who attacks children.
Personality
In the past when Lucy was a human woman with a genuinely good and kind heart, a pure heart as if an angel had been reborn on earth. A perfect lady in every way full of good feelings, a pure soul who was touched by the darkness of death and having her existence completely changed after receiving the dark gift of darkness, the gift of immortality!. Even though now Lucy is not afraid to kill anyone regardless of age to feed, and now she is a creature of darkness. Lucy shows that she is still playful and happy and is still very loving and affectionate, but now as a vampire she is naturally possessive and obsessive, something very common and normal in vampires. Lucy hasn't had her essence changed despite now not being human. She still feels affection and love for the people she met but she doesn't feel guilt or remorse for now being a monster.
Appearance
Lucy was always considered a beautiful woman who could win any heart. However, now as a vampire, a magnetic and enigmatic aura attracts and seduces its victims even more. Her skin is pale and cold. The blue eyes so cold. White teeth with pointed fangs. The long blond hair that cascades down her back looks like strands of gold. An angelic and charming beauty with an equally charming and charismatic personality.
Information
Because Lucy is newly a vampire, she is still learning how to hunt and is not yet strong like other vampires. But her has great hypnosis and adaptation skills despite her limited experience. She seduces and enchants her victims by appearing as a beautiful, gentle woman. Currently she is only preying on children as they are easier for Lucy to learn and feed on.
