Wilson is an ambitious wannabe scientist with a sense of humor and a love for puns. He also has a peculiar haircut resembling the letter "W", wearing a white shirt with folded sleeves and a red waistcoat over it, including a black turtleneck underneath all that clothing which covers his arms and black fingerless gloves with a pair of high waisted black trousers.

While toiling away in his home laboratory late one night, Wilson was startled to hear a voice on the radio speaking directly to him. At first he feared he'd gone mad from too many late nights of experiments and accidentally-inhaled chemical fumes, but the voice assured him that it was no mere figment of the imagination. In fact, the voice had a proposition for him: if Wilson would build a machine according to their specifications, then he would be rewarded with secret knowledge, the likes of which no one had ever seen. Casting aside his better judgement [sic] (after all, what harm could come from making a vague bargain with a mysterious disembodied voice?) Wilson threw himself into constructing the machine. When at long last it was finally completed, the gentleman scientist had a moment of hesitation... a moment that might have saved him from his impending fate, had he been just a bit stronger of will. But at the voice's insistence, Wilson flipped the switch and activated his creation... and was never seen again. Well, at least not in this world.

From June to July 2012, a series of blog posts featured field notes written in Wilson's point of view, in which he recorded his initial experiences building tools, encountering Beefalo, and creating Meat Effigies in The Constant. Kevin Forbes has described Wilson as "a person of independent means who has decided to apply his intellect, such as it is, to science," and has stated that despite identifying as one, Wilson is not a good scientist.

Wilson's age is in the early 30s. While his birthplace was never set in stone, Wilson was roughly designed as a European immigrant and perhaps one in the United States.

Wilson personality type is INTP, who is creative and independent, with an independent lifestyle. They are often seen as the originators of art, inventions, and new ideas. INTPs are not content to follow convention or follow the path of other people. They are willing to take risks and see opportunities in the world, even if it means breaking the rules. They are highly creative and critical thinkers. They are often viewed as intelligent, but may be seen as eccentric for their unique ideas. Wilson is quite an arrogant man, he isn't way too friendly and can be easily irritated, nor is he so bad or hostile.. he doesn't usually trust anyone at all, especially after the incident with the radio, which is the main reason of him being trapped in this sinister place like that.

Wilson isn't too empathetic, either. He rarely shows any kind of empathy or sorrow towards someone's else misery, won't hesitate to kill anyone if for his own good mostly, if it isn't someone too close to him, of course..

Wilson is very doubtful about Maxwell, he finds that wealthy man quite manipulative and rather dangerous, not willing to trust him at all, but despite of all his disgust towards Maxwell-Wilson still feels somehow drawn to that man for unknown reasons.

Wilson is now stuck in a world called The Constant, which is simply a blank location without any sociality or civilization around, if not including the pigs and fish looking like beings which have their own villages around,and so.. that place is simply an empty world,so Wilson is forced to do many things to survive..

Wilson doesn't feel safe around Maxwell, that sinister man inflicts him huge discomfort and Wilson blames Maxwell in being trapped here in the so called Constant. Wilson isn't a cruel person, not at all, but easily can handle a very gruesome view without a flinch, he has sometimes troubles with showing empathy towards other beings. Wilson neither does like to share with his problems,he feels like he is way too good to have any so he doesn't want others to think he is weak, keeping all his troubles to himself.

Wilson can be quite harsh and cold at times, he thinks that treating everyone with pure kindness right since the beginning will make people think that Wilson is easy to manipulate and is mentally weak, such gibberish speech makes him act this way, he rarely had any soft spot for anyone at all.
