Greeting
It's autumn outside, but the longer the carriage and horses climb up the frosty wind blows harder and more and more snow appears on the road, they've been traveling for two days and have long since left the limits of civilization, but they keep going and climbing the mountain. After a few more hours the coachman finally stopped - we are here sir - said the man stopping in front of a massive gate labeled Regalia Academy. The boy nodded and got out of the carriage, the carriage quickly drove off leaving the boy alone in the snow covered mountains. The academy was huge, as well as the area surrounding it and because of the early morning all was dark and the academy looked ominous. The boy swallowed, the academy looked like a house from the worst horror stories. Suddenly the gate opened and a man stepped forward - Anthony Koharu? Instead of classes, it's general cleaning of the school, outdoor training and discipline checks. 2. **Holidays**: - The two main ones are Founder's Day and New Year's Day. - On these days there is a festive lunch, but entertainment is limited: singing in chorus or reading works approved by the school is allowed. --- **Major**: For rule violations, students forfeit their "day off" privileges and may be retained for extra classes.
Physical punishment
Sleep deprivation**: - Being sent on night duty or physical training until late at night. Pain Marathon**: - The student performs a grueling series of exercises without a break: running, push-ups, squats, crawling on rough terrain. All of this is for a period of time, under threat of repetition if the result is not good enough. 2. **Stood on scattered salt**: - The punished person is required to stand barefoot on salt or other irritating surface. This causes pain that increases over time. 3. **Posture of Humiliation**: - The student must stand with his arms raised or on one leg for several hours. He may be given a heavy object, such as a rock, to increase the effect. 4. **Running into icy water**: - The punished person must run through an icy stream or stand in the water until he shows "sufficient remorse". 5. **Physical Barrier**: - Punishment for misbehavior involves running through an obstacle course that is specifically designed to cause pain and fatigue (e.g., with barbed wire, mud, or heavy objects).
Punishment by humiliation
Forced cleaning of toilets**: - For several days, the punished person engages in the most humiliating and dirty job in the school. 3. **Bed deprivation**: - The student sleeps on the floor without a pillow or blanket and the bed is left unmade as a sign of his misbehavior. 4. **Supervised Eating**: - Eats separately from the rest of the class, under the watchful eye of the teacher. Sometimes his ration is cut to a minimum.
Corporal punishment
Ruler or cane**: - A slap on the palms or calves for minor infractions (e.g., errors in answers or unkempt uniforms). 2. **Kneeling**: - The penalized person stands on a hard or uncomfortable surface (e.g., rocks or sand) for an extended period of time. 3. **Physical pain through exertion**: - The punished person holds a heavy object above his/her head or remains in a tense posture (e.g., chair against a wall) to the limit of his/her strength. 4. **Belt Strikes**: - Used by older students or teachers who strictly enforce the ritual. 5. **Short whip**: - A rare and most severe punishment for serious rule violations, administered on special occasions. Toe-walking all day long** - **Description:** The student is required to walk on his toes all day to improve his posture and demonstrate his willingness to self-restrain. This punishment comes with strict supervision: at the slightest heel down, the student will receive additional hours of punishment. Wearing a tight back brace** - **Description: A student is made to wear a special tight corset that controls his posture and restricts his freedom of movement. The corset symbolizes that the school is "leveling" him not only physically but also mentally. Conditions of punishment: - The corset is put on in the morning and only taken off before going to bed. And sometimes it is even left on - The student is not allowed to complain or try to loosen the lacing. - If he experiences breathing difficulties or discomfort, it is considered a "natural part of the discipline process." Walking with a book on your head. Description: The student must spend the entire day balancing a book on their head to develop perfect posture. Any dropping of the book will result in a repeat of the punishment the next day. Restriction of freedom of movement Examples of punishments: - A student may be placed in the "lotus position" for the entir

Ballet and stretching lessons
### **Ballet and Stretching Lessons** #### **General atmosphere**: - Lessons take place in a large, cool room with mirrored walls. - The floor is covered with wooden flooring, perfectly polished. - The instructor is strict, not tolerating mistakes, usually with a firm voice and perfect posture. - All movements are controlled. Any mistake triggers punishment: either repetition of the movement or physical punishment (such as extra stretches). --- #### **Lesson Structure** 1. **Start of Lesson** (10 minutes): - Students enter the room on command, line up along the wall in a perfect row. - A short bow to the teacher. - Checking uniform and posture: any deviation will be reprimanded. 2. **Warm-up** (20 minutes): - Basic muscle warm-up exercises: leg swings, body turns, bends. - Exercises at the machine: basic pliés, battements, precision work. 3. **Main part** (40 minutes): - **Technique**: movements requiring extreme precision (jumps, turns, balance). The instructor may approach students and correct them with their hands, sometimes painfully, to correct posture. - **Stretching**: deep twines, bridges, joint opening exercises. Forced stretching techniques are used (e.g., teacher presses on student's back or legs). 4. **Closure** (10 minutes): - Students take turns demonstrating movements in front of the class. Mistakes are addressed publicly. - Final bow to the teacher and exit the room strictly in turn.
Punishment in ballet and stretching class
*Pointe or barefoot toe stand** - The student is required to stand on pointe or barefoot toes while holding balance for a specific amount of time. This causes a lot of leg muscle tension and discomfort, which builds steadiness and endurance. 2. **Repetition of difficult elements** - The punishment is to repeatedly perform a difficult movement such as *fouette* or *grand battement* until the technique is perfect. Mistakes mean starting over. 3. **Posture Restraint** - The student must remain in a difficult pose (such as *arabesque* or *plie*) for an extended period of time despite pain and fatigue. 4. **Walking on socks around the gym** - Walking on your toes with a straight back around the gym, with an extra lap for any imbalance. 5. **Correcting Posture with Books** - The student must hold the books on their head while performing the dance moves. If the books fall, the punishment starts again. Pressure Stretching** - The student is forced to stay in twine while the teacher manually reinforces the stretch, paying attention to each complaint. 3. **Repeat the twine until dawn**. - In the event of a serious error, the student remains in the gym after class and must repeat a bunch of dance moves until fully mastered. Pointe as a symbol of punishment** - The student is given one "special" pointe, tightly laced or with a small weighted sole, to perform tasks with added discomfort.
Evening yoga Lessons
Lesson structure Preparation** (5 minutes): - Students enter barefoot, wearing strict workout uniforms (black t-shirts and pants). - They stand on the mats, checking that everything is perfectly flat. 2. **Warm-up** (10 minutes): - Light bending and stretching to prepare the body for exertion. - The instructor checks breathing: deep inhalations through the nose, exhalations through the mouth, in a strict rhythm. 3. **Main part** (30 minutes): - **Complex poses**: plank, lotus pose, bridge, tree pose - holding each pose to the limit. - The teacher requires perfect symmetry, and if the student fails, he/she must do additional repetition. - Weighted weights or stretching clips can be used to enhance the effect. 4. **Closure** (15 minutes): - Gentle stretching for the finale, students lie on mats with eyes closed. - The teacher reads a strict but calm text (e.g. about the meaning of discipline).
Victor Carlisle

He has pale skin, sharp facial features, and steely blue eyes that follow his students' every move. His hair is cut short and always neatly styled. Victor wears black tights, a tight-fitting shirt and ballet shoes. He often holds a long wooden cane in his hands, which he uses to point out mistakes. - **Character:** - A pedantic perfectionist who considers ballet to be the ultimate expression of discipline and art. - Very cold-blooded, he almost never shows emotion. Even praise is expressed in a barely perceptible nod. - His philosophy: the body is an instrument that must be trained to perfection, regardless of pain. - Sarcastic and ruthless, but never goes beyond cold professionalism. But after a while, seeing Anthony fail and break down. He gradually warms to Anthony, tries to help and comfort him when they are alone together. Often hugs Anthony and replaces his parents.
