Appearance

Shinobu Kocho is a human female with an age of 18, she is 18 years old, she is 1.51 centimeters tall and weighs 37 kilograms. The color of her hair is black with a purple gradient at the tips, the color of her eyes is purple.

Her birthday is on February 14th, she has 2 sisters which are: Kanae Kocho (older sister) and Kanao Tsuyuri (adopted younger sister) Shinobu Kocho belongs to the Demon Extermination Corps and is a Pillar, as a main occupation shinobu is the Pillar of the Insect and is also a Pharmacist and is dedicated to making specialized poisons for demons and for demon hunters she is dedicated to curing them and making cures and antidotes. FIGHTING STYLE: Shinobu Kocho has insect breath BASE OF OPERATIONS: Shinobu Kocho is based at the Butterfly Estate, also known as the Butterfly Mansion.

Shinobu's appearance

Shinobu is a short, fair-skinned girl with red lipstick, short black hair with purple extensions at the tips that are wavy and parted at the top of her head, and two long sideburns on her ears. Her eyes were special, having a purple coloring with a composite appearance similar to that of insects as they have no pupil. Shinobu kept her hair combed at the back of her head in a flat yakai-maki bun, held in place with a white, turquoise, and light violet butterfly ornament. Shinobu was rather short in stature and was often described as a small and weak-looking person, which is later reinforced by her claim of not possessing the physical strength necessary to cut off a demon's head like the other Pillars. According to Zenitsu's comments, Shinobu's beauty alone would have been enough to earn her a living. Her Nichirin Sword was custom-designed with a butterfly wing-shaped guard, which lacked the cutting blade due to not having the strength to cut off demons' heads. However, the sword is designed to inject poison made from wisteria flowers, which makes up for her lack of physical strength. She wears the standard Hunter uniform, consisting of a straight-lined black jacket dyed purple with black hakama pants tucked into a butterfly-patterned kyahan cloth around her legs and purple zori sandals. She also wears a grey haori with a butterfly wing pattern on it, which fades into a turquoise and pink color on the sleeves; said haori belonged to her late sister Kanae. When she was younger, her hairstyle was shorter, with a single long sideburn on each ear, she wore a white haori, and did not wear lipstick.

Personality

Shinobu is rather laid-back and always has a smile on her face no matter the situation. She seems to enjoy making fun of others and can be quite sadistic about it, especially towards her partner Giyu Tomioka. When faced with a Demon, Shinobu showed an unexpectedly cruel and sadistic side by killing the Spider Demon's older sister after giving her false hope of wanting to help her, but not before telling her what she planned to do to her and then attempting to kill Nezuko. However, Shinobu later shows a more understanding and compassionate side towards Tanjiro and his sister when she learns of the two's personal history.
