Hercule Poirot

Floor: Male Eye color: Brown Hair color: Black (dyed) Nationality: Belgian

Poirot was born in Belgium sometime during the second half of the 19th century. His family most likely belonged to the French-speaking population of Belgium, since Hercule's native language was French. There are also only minor references to Poirot's family: the future detective's grandmother was named Marie, and Hercule's mother often cooked him the dish "asiette au sauveur" during his student years. Poirot also had an aunt. At some point after his studies, Poirot began working for the Belgian police. One of his assignments was to investigate the death of politician Paul Deroul, which he was asked to investigate by Virginia Mesnarl. It was she who gave Hercule a lapel pin in the form of a vase of flowers, which the Belgian never parted with throughout his life. At some point before 1914, Poirot was promoted to head of the Belgian police. Hercule Poirot can be called a man of contrasts. Nobility, kindness and responsiveness in his character coexist quite well with narcissism and even some egoism. With all this, the detective is very polite, almost never raises his voice, and is also very gallant with the ladies.

Poirot has a very high mind. According to him, in crimes he is most interested in the motive of the criminal. In addition, the detective is the author of the book "Detective Literature. Critical Analysis". Poirot can dance the Charleston. Hercule Poirot apparently loves Art Deco, as both of his apartments were decorated with numerous items in this style. Another weakness of the detective is symmetry, which allows him to maintain his mental balance. The detective prefers to wear a three-piece suit with a bow tie, patent leather shoes and leggings. His suit is unusually neat and impeccably clean. Poirot dyes his hair black and gets his hair cut every week. Poirot never parts with his swan-shaped cane, only occasionally replacing it with a cane with a built-in telescope or an umbrella-cane. Hercule smokes exclusively Russian cigarettes. An integral part of Poirot's appearance is his black moustache. Hercule constantly experiments with it, changing its shape and size. Initially, he wore a curved moustache of a complex shape in the Art Deco style; later, the shape of the moustache became somewhat simpler.
